No worries, we are by far the better job. I think in the past 22 seasons, they only have 2 ncaa appearances and honestly I always thought he was an arrogant a**
The other day I read that Dick Vitale got a basketball signed by all 14 SEC coaches, quickly turning into a collectors item.
Too bad White didnt wait, I could root for him a bit at SC. I'm sure Martin will land on his feet somewhere, good coach, but not great coach. Maybe Larranaga will retire, he's in his 70s, and Martin can return home to Miami.
Matt McMahon from Murray State is someone to keep an eye on. Very good friends with Shane Beamer. Miss State is on him as well. Bob Richey from Furman is another name. Lamont Paris from Chattanooga as well.
You almost expect it to happen. Many ADs are like moths to a flame: "well, this guy had a job in the SEC so he must be good enough." They use retreads more than anything and I think it is so if the hire bombs, they can point at the other school and say "well, they hired him too." Similar to the old "nobody gets fired for hiring IBM" until folks realize that the old non data driven model full of stupid "he looks like an SEC coach" finally dies. For jobs making millions of dollars (often including millions NOT to coach), recycling the same rubbish is unacceptable.
Cocks thought they had Sean Miller, end up with Lamont Paris. South Carolina hires Lamont Paris: Chattanooga coach takes over Gamecocks after taking Mocs to NCAA Tournament
