Keats did a great job here at UNCW, but his NC State program has fallen apart. Similar to Mike. Great guy, declining results.

I think Grant would realistically be better than a majority of the up-and-comer names that'd pop up.

Has experience at this level, is beloved in Florida AAU basketball, could be an extension of the Billy era, has coached in the NBA, has coached elite teams (that COVID Dayton team was going to get a #1 seed), etc.

I know his Bama tenure echoes White's tenure here, and that turns people off from him, but I think he'd be a solid fit here.

That doesn't mean he'd accept the job. He has a nice thing going at his alma mater currently

I don’t know why we don’t just invest and throw elite money at an elite coach. We got saved a buy out thanks to UGA, but just hire an elite coach and we won’t have to buy him out later.

Cheating is legal now. Hire Rick Pitino and don’t look back. Use PR to have a narrative be the mentor resurrect the program his pupil helped build.

 

Jay Wright is the biggest man on campus at nova and has proven he can win there, he has zero reason to leave.
Sampson and Pitino senior aren’t coming.
Grant wouldn’t even be an afterthought if he hadn’t been on Billy’s staff.
