Not a big one but I do my part cutting a check to Gator Boosters each year. And we could use the tens of millions of dollars in tv revenue anyway. Boosters don’t have to fund it.
Guess if the only Gator sport u care about is basketball. I might be excited once I hear who the new guy is, but indifferent now. The day pretty much sucked to me. Gator baseball and softball teams lost to inferior opponents and I'm tired of the whole Brady circus.
Expected to see White moving on…did not expect to see him going to Georgia. Has to be because Ole Miss job didn’t come open. Excited to see who we can attract.
Because Georgia wants to own Florida and buying recruits is now above board. I don't think it has to be either or with Georgia. Look at Bama. Hell look at fsu. I don't believe for a second fsu didn't make a concerted effort to start buying the type of talent that started to go there a few years back for a middling coach and program.
Yes but things evolve. Just look at us now. There was a time when florida basketball was an afterthought for most. We have a contingent here that still thinks our recent trend has been just fine. Not that we should expect Billy Donovan level success but I think it justifiably changed the perception of what can be.
@akaGatorhoops said it indirectly months ago. The conversations with the LegHumpers started today at around 12:00 noon "officially." I think many assumed as the season progressed that Coach White might leave but nobody predicted Athens.
That's the thing though. It's not cheating anymore. Maybe they figure they can throw more money to equip a young popular coach with the right talent to get him over the hump and throw a jab at their most hated rival at the same time?
