I can understand the athletic dept telling the toothless ncaa to kick rocks. What I don’t understand at all is how their big defense to the scandal was that these fake classes were available to all students, not just athletes, but somehow their academic standing didn’t take a hit. They’re touted as some great school and top public institution even after they publicly admitted to offering fake, free A, classes to any student who signed up for them. I don’t get it.
The NCAA is like a toothless dog, all bark and no bite. As long as they are raking in the dough they don’t care what goes on. The NIL deals have proven that.
Opened this thread thinking it was from 2021. I thought he had already got a pass its been so long. If old Wade is canned for cheating, does that mean LSU has to vacate their 2019 SEC title. Never mind, what am I thinking, of course not.
AKA - forget "slapping Wade" with Paper! I think a nice rotten 5 lb mullet in the face would be much better. It would certainly exceed anything the NCAA could or will do.
From this morning's Advocate Sports March Madness is here for the LSU men's basketball team, but it's starting under a cloud. The Tigers are in Tampa, Florida, for Thursday's SEC Tournament opener against Missouri amid huge distractions surrounding the NCAA's notice of allegations into the men's basketball program. LSU officials say they will cooperate fully with the NCAA investigation. Meanwhile, see the dangerous way LSU's basketball case and football infractions are tied together.
they should’ve lost or been suspended from the AAU (association of American universities). Would’ve hurt them $ wise and sent a message.
Mark Emmert was former chancellor at LSU and rumored to be courted back to be president at the university. I’m sure he’s not that motivated to lower the hammer in Baton Rouge
Surprised they made the move before the ncaas. Did you have intel on this, or were you shooting from the hip?
