Keeping in mind that neutrality doesn't necessarily mean disarmament. Apparently, Russia is not just demanding neutrality, its also demanding that Ukraine disarm and there is no way Zelensky would agree to that condition. Zelensky conditioned the neutrality proposal on security guarantees which were rejected outright by Russia. He absolutely shouldn't agree to disarm. Ukraine already agreed to get rid of the nukes they had in return for security from the US & UK, and that Russia would leave them alone. Only Ukraine kept their end of the bargain, because the US/UK sided with the whole NATO can't get involved because Putin has nukes, and Russia never sticks to their end of...anything. So to disarm and then depend on Russia to keep their word? That's not a reasonable request.

It would not surprise me in the least to see Ukraine (after the russkies finally leave, and they will) beef up their security in case Russia tries to conquer them again in the future.
And you bet the US & others will be "selling" a lot of equipment to them. And frankly whatever is left of their Air Force needs updated planes and training. No more of that old MIG garbage. Heck doesn't the US still have that airplane cemetery somewhere in the dessert full of decommissioned planes?
On the equipment side, Ukranian farmers keep hauling equipment off & the joke is the Ukranian farmers are the 5th largest army right now. (Obviously a joke but still). They've hauled off tanks, rocket launchers, satellite units, etc. Then some have done videos showing the Russian equipment-- just in lousy shape.

Nationalization is a form of theft. Theft is unkind. Nations, in this case the UK, tend to act unkindly when others go stealing property they had been investing in for decades. Weird how that part of the story always gets left out.

Question can be asked what is the greater evil, nationalization of natural resources or overthrowing a democratically elected government and replacing it with a repressive dictatorship? Also, as an example of the law of unanticipated consequences the Iranian people as well as the rest of the world ultimately ended up with an repressive theocracy intent up spreading it's ideology throughout the Middle East.

Watching Russian tanks continuously get demolished in this war makes me wonder if tanks are becoming fairly obsolete in any kind of first world skirmish?
