I don’t disagree that you don’t create your own luck or bad luck in sports, but largely the outcome is determined at the macro-level. If one overall team is better, they usually win. If the two teams are evenly matched, it’s a toss up. You can’t just look at one individual player on a team going off as an indicator of a particular problem. A different player will step up in different games for each team. TAMU could just as easily say that about Kowacie today if we had won. He doesn’t usually go for 20+ nor carry the team in the clutch.
This isn’t the Mountain West Conference, and we aren’t the ‘95 Bulls. The SEC is tough too to bottom, and we are not at the top of it. Games will be tough and gritty. We shall see what next year brings, but I’m proud of the heart and effort we gave despite not reaching our season goals.

White should have been yelling at Fleming to not initiate till much less time remained on the shot clock. They got possession with 37 seconds left in the game. The shot should have went up with under 5 seconds on the shot clock, that way there’s enough time for Florida to get a rebound, but if TAM gets the rebound with 10 seconds left, they have much less time to do something. If they took a timeout then they would still need to advance and take a few seconds. If they decided not to take a timeout then they don’t setup their shot. Obviously a lot could have happened and the same outcome may have occurred, but I hate not only the shot Fleming took, but also the fact he shot it way too early in the possession, allowing TAM to do whatever they wanted.

You're arguing with points I'm not making even after I already explained I wasn't making them. Like I said in other posts, no offense, but I don't care what you or anyone here thinks or if my "fandom" isn't considered "right." Fact of the matter is that the Gator basketball team isn't good, attendance is low, and a general malaise and apathy has descended on this once very solid program. A lot of "fans" are of the same sentiment as me. Any way, the season is over. Good riddance. On to baseball and a very bullish Gator football season! I'm out.

I know the origin of this rumor and it’s nonsense, Kermit has yet to be fired. It is possible that happens and White becomes a candidate, and even the hire. But the notion this is decided… and that White discussed it with his staff… is complete fabrication.

No problem. That doesn't make you a bad fan or a "typical gator fan." It makes you a fan. Just wish you'd lay off the narrative that gator fans are crappy fans just because they have a measured opinion on coach that differs from yours. Sure there are some that are crass like the idiot that runs the Facebook page "in all kinds of weather" but they aren't the majority even if they are the loudest sometimes.

Absolutely. I enjoy your baseball posts you just get a bit squirrely on us in swampgas and nuthin but net. I really want Mike white to be our guy but I'm also ready for a try at something different. Our trend line just isn't good. I am a glutton for punishment and almost want to see what one more year would bring with the new roster but I have said that before.

I wouldn't protest If he gets another year because of how he has handled himself and his age. Hoping for some significant changes but not sure he wants to make them or knows how to. Need better roster management, offensive identity and I'd like to see him work the refs a bit more personally. I'm good whichever way we choose to go.
