How are the recruitniks feeling about our recruiting strategy/plan? Will this system produce top 5 classes? We're obviously targeting the best athletes but will they sign? We are spending more money and time on recruiting than ever before...but will it level the playing field with UGA and Bama? We fell way behind over the past 10 years ... how long will it realistically take to catch up? Two years? Five years? Is it too late? What else can the staff do to convince "stud" to sign? It seems like a great staff and recruiting strategy. But I was curious what our resident experts think about it.
It comes down to the paycheck when all other things are done right. If we pay comparably to what other schools are offering, we will be fine. There’s zero chance of out recruiting cash though.
Some Vizzina info in this article, including a recent visit to and offer from OhSt Briarwood 2023 QB on AU coach Bryan Harsin: 'I really like him'
Former Gator commit WR Darren Lawrence (Sanford) with the program left UF thoroughly impressed by the program Billy Napier is building after his last visit to Gator land. Lawrence told AllGators if he knew back them (before he decommit) what he knows now about the program he would had stayed committed. That he really the staff and that he really just have to get his family back up to UF to see what they say about it. That he has been able to start to build a relationship with Colbert (WR coach) to see how his skills set fit in the Gators offense. he also said that Colbert likes that he is physical, his speed and that he find away to get open. Lawrence will make a commitment on his Grand mother birthday in October between Miami, FSU, UF and UCF not on that order.
A couple non recruiting notes, The Ladies Gators won the indoor track and field national championship and a downer note the Gator men basketball program is going downhill as fast as anyone can say Mike White. It seems like UF administration don[t care about mens basketball by keeping the pathetic Mike White.
Georgia paid UF $1.250 Millions for Mike White, but what Georgia didn't know was that we would had paid what it would take for someone take Mike White out of our hands.
UF made the top 10 cut for Alabama's DL Hunter Osborne. The #113 overall player and #18 DL for the 2023 class who is 6-4 260 but runs very well and its very versatile. However Osborne grew up rooting for Alabama.
Tricky question. I don't know who we want and who the Gators have a good chance yet. I'm less interested in when than who. If it's Dante Moore or Arch Manning, I don't care when they pop though it's best to get a QB in early to attract other top prospects.
No doubt. I’m not sure which one is the better qb but sooner is way better than later. That , I do know.
The university doesn’t fund the collective, you know that right? None of that money will make it there.
