We both try to do that and it backfires. I know you better now so we will be fine. And don't worry about the diapers I stop wearing mine
Back to the thread... CC is gone. McKissic and Fleming are gone, I think. And Jones. Even if Jones could come back, why would he? These older guys, except for CC and maybe Duruji, are not NBA players. They might as well go overseas and start making money. Appleby is already 23 I think. Maybe he comes back if he just loves college or if he can make NIL money that is good enough. So we likely need a pg in the portal, A big guy and whatever else is open. JJ, Reeves, Kennedy and Lane start. And maybe a freshman. Maybe a transfer. Every year is a new adventure.
Do players typically participate in senior day honors more than once? I don't mean to question what your opinion is. It is just something I have never thought about. Covid and the transfer portal seem to have really changed the landscape.
I don’t think MW will be Coach next year so it’s so hard to say. I could see the UF signees ask out and it be granted. I have no clue what the roster will look like or who will be running the program.
Maybe if you haven't 100% made up your mind. I remember Fulkerson at Tennessee did it last year and did this whole ceremony crying at halfcourt and then ended up coming back.
There is literally no way to project a roster, and if the rumors of White moving on are accurate you’d even wonder about our commits. I’d assume we’d be looking at an almost total overhaul in that scenario.
If the roster stays together, I'd assume we are going to hit the transfer portal for two transfers, one being a PG. Looks like we will have length on the floor at all times. Going to assume the second guy would be someone that can shoot -- unless we have faith in Kennedy being able to knock down 2-4 three's a game consistently. PG - Transfer (PG) or Aberdeen 2 - Lane 3 - Reeves 4 - Felder 5 - Jitoboh Bench: Transfer Reneau Reed Kennedy Gat
After watching Aberdeen this year (I teach at Dr Phillips)…I’ll take him RIGHT now over Appleby. I guarantee he won’t turn over the ball as much..and take better shots…making a decent percentage. Just my opinion obviously.
Inexplicably, no true PG that push the ball since Chiozza. CMW had his best success with two such PG's, Hill/Chiozza, & for some reason doesn't seem to have recruited/retained that type of PG since.
I don't even have a clue who our coach OR our players are going to be next year. And I was the guy who made national headlines (seriously) with the "Hey Ky, this is what Senior Day looks like!" sign!
Hill was a 2-guard playing out of position. You can’t play the game at one speed and be a point guard. Nembhard and Glover were true point guards. White doesn’t seem to like true point guards. That’s why Nembhard and Glover both bailed out.
Hill's recruiting profiles indicate he was a PG & he was at his best driving the ball. It put pressure on defenses when we had two players that could do so. In the dribble drive offense that CMW was supposed to be running, that's what you need. Perplexing that he didn't continue with that "model".
In Kasey’s senior year at Montverde, Kevin Boyle had him at the wing in big games with De’Angelo Russell out on top. Kasey’s problem was that he played in 5th gear all the time. Chiozza had all 5 gears going. Kasey would drive to the basket as fast as he could, and try to score or pass. Cheese would get into the paint, slow down, speed up, etc. until he could make a play. Why White played over Cheese at the point is beyond me.
