    Samford has sucked for ever.

Now they suck a little less as a very low conference team.

That is all I am going to say.

Tampa you talk about all the talent Fla has then you say Furman would be a toss up game. So White is taking kids who would be a toss up against Furman, lose to Samford, and beats Auburn and you say Fla and Kentucky have equal talent.
So what is it does Fla have Kentucky talent or the talent to lose to Furman.
Just trying to figure out what you think
Is it all on white, if they had Samford coach they would be favored to get to Final 4, or do they have Furman talent and white did a heck of a job. Don't think Samford or Furman win 19 games with Fla schedule.
Again I think Glover is a good player wish we had him but or problems are shooting the ball from outside and another scorer inside. and Glover is not even as good from outside as Appleby or Jones.
Give Fla Smith from Auburn at the 4 and we would be a tough out.
Again my opinion like to hear yours that is what these boards are for.
I agree with some things you say just not all as with most people.
And plenty don't agree with me but never get mad over it, I like going back n forth.
Again did not mean to give you that emoji because you were right

Tampa does a lot of scouting of high school talent and he is very good at that.

I don't doudt that it just seems if you don't agree then you don't know anything in his mind.
Still highlights are the last way to judge a player.
I know he watches games and goes to some but a lot of people do that.
I would think most people oh here think they know a good player when they see one.
I go to a lot of local games. Hawthorne has a player I like CJ Ingram who's 6'4 in 9th grade and yes his dad played football for Fl so bloodlines are there.
Might be wrong but think he can play at a big school.
Heck he might end up playing football no idea but he's good.

In the game against Furman, Glover had 4 assists and 6 turnovers. That was 30% of Stamford’s turnovers

I don't believe that I am making inconsistent statements here. The Gators have, for all practical purposes, a 9-man rotation right now. It is composed of 7 transfers plus a freshman in Reeves and a sophomore in Lane. I suspect that the 7 transfers are the oldest group of transfers in the country. Their average age is something like 31-years old. :). Five of those transfers were from mid-majors and were the best or close to the best players on their teams. Obviously, mid-major teams are going to have a hard time competing against power conference teams, but there is no reason why the best players from 5 different mid-majors can't compete against power conference teams. The other 2 transfers were solid players from power conference teams. Our freshman, Reeves, is a 5-star player. Lane is a 3-star, but he is from a really good high school program, he is big and strong, and he might very well be our best point guard if we would give him the playing time there. Kentucky goes 7 deep, none of whom are 5-star players. Three of the starters are transfers who were anywhere from 2-star to 4-star high school players. The other 2 starters, TyTy Washington and Keion Brooks, were 4-star high school players. TyTy looks like a lottery pick. Brooks is gradually improving and could end up as a 2nd round draft pick in 2023. So why is Kentucky so much better than Florida? Here's my opinion. We have a bunch of players who are good spot-up shooters. You can check their percentages from their prior schools. For all practical purposes, we don't have a single really good outside shooter off of the dribble. Appleby is an average shooter off of the dribble, but he is a really good spot-up shooter. We have a big man in Castleton who is almost impossible to stop without being double-teamed. So what should our offense be? It seems readily apparent. We should be running the offense through Castleton and setting tons of off-ball screens to get our spot-up shooters spot-up shots. Instead, we often end up with one guy doing the dribble drive and shooting off of it or trying to find a teammate if he draws a second defender. Except for the on-ball screeners, we have guys standing around waiting to see what happens. Eric can give you the stats on open spot-up shots vs the type of shots we often end up taking.

How about Kentucky's offense? It's constant motion and ball movement. They seem to be running a 3- or 4-man weave. Guys are getting open shots all over the place. Tschiebe is getting wide-open 15-foot jumpers. Both teams are playing rock-solid defense. Kentucky is running almost every time they get a defensive rebound. We almost never run off of our defensive rebounds. So that's why I say that if you flip the coaches, the results are likely to be different. Just to make sure that it sinks in, this is not a typical Kentucky team that has 5 young 5-star players on the floor at the same time. Instead, they have Davidson, Georgia and West Va transfers on the floor along with 2 4-star high school players. Calipari and his staff are doing a really good job coaching this team.

As for a Furman vs. Florida game on a neutral court, it's one team, Florida, that I described above against a less-talented, but really well-coached Furman team. Furman looks like a better team than Vandy, Ole Miss, Missouri, Maryland and some other teams that we have struggled with. This would be a close game on a neutral court. What I would love to see is an NIT game between Florida and Samford played before a sold-out crowd at Samford. Maybe it will happen.

SIX turnovers in a conference semifinal decided by one possession.

They’re not in the game without him, but couldn’t win with him. Maybe he had high-major flashbacks.

Happy for the kid, though. He’s right where he needs to be.

Watch the game. At some point there was no offense for Samford unless a weary Glover created it. Yes, he was forcing plays which resulted in turnovers, but he was the only chance that Samford had to win the game. 23 points, 4 assist, 2 steals, tons of good passes, breaking the press and 6 turnovers. Your focus is on the turnovers.

So, please explain how you knew when Chiozza was in high school that he was going to become an NBA player.

I honestly did. Have no way to prove it. I also thought Patrick Young would make it in highschool. I thought Shawn Bradley would be a star a 7'6 PG so not always right.
I just like the way he played and stuck my foot in my mouth but it turned out ok.
Sure you said the same about a player who was not a big star but you just knew he could make it if they work their tale off.
I think Ingram from Hawthorne has a chance if he sicks with just basketball and hits the camps and puts in the hours it will take.
So remember when he's drafted where you heard it first.
He might be in NFL if so all bets off. He's just a solid young man with speed, footwork, and hops
Shot needs work and needs to handle ball much better but he's got talent

But more of a guess with Cheese, I said it to a buddy and he said no way so had to own it, it was not like I was this expert, but you can bet I have reminded him more than a few times

Tampa do you see Glover in NBA? If I had to pick a Gator would take Reeves to make it.

Did you see Cheese play in high school or did you just read about him? I don’t see Glover playing in the NBA, but he should be able to make a living playing basketball. Reeves has the talent. Whether it develops remains to be seen. I expect Andrew Nembhard to make an NBA team. I expect Scottie Lewis at some point to move up from the G League to the NBA. I think that Ruzhnetsev has a chance to play in the NBA. My guess is that Castleton does not make it in the NBA, but plays professionally. I don’t see Duruji playing in the NBA.

Did I read Niels Lane might be our best point guard in this thread? Great athlete, tough kid, there’s a reason he fell out of the rotation when he was allowed to dribble at the start of the year

Lane wasn’t in the rotation at the start of the year. He moved into the rotation in game #21 against Oklahoma State. He is the one guard who looks to be focused primarily on moving the ball rather than going one-on-one. Obviously, he has elements of his game to work on.
