Not happy at all being on the bubble, but will always enjoy watching the Gators. Get upset when they play bad like to get to where Elite 8 is possible. Maybe I just like pain, but will watch them play no matter what, same in all sports. I love the good, hate the bad but will always watch OUR GATORS.
Naysayers begone! We lost arguably the best player in the SEC two seasons ago, lost Castleton for a four or five game stretch, Jitobeh for the season and still played very competitive ball all season long.Yes we won a couple of NC but that was 15 years ago and we're not entitled. But those who shoot our program down are part and parcel to the problem.
I don't really see anyone shooting the program down. If anything I'd say the opposite, believing we should be a top 25 team annually and competing for conference titles speaks to the strengths and capabilities in the program. I love this program, attend as many as games as possible and watch every game I'm not at. It's because I love this program that I think we can and should expect better.
I won't tell you that this team doen't drive me crazy at times (a lot of times). That said, they are busting their butts and doing their best. I appreciate that and like this squad too.
This team, for me, has not been fun at all. It has been painfully inconsistent and almost always frustrating. That’s no knock on the guys playing, they clearly try and play their hardest. As a matter of perspective, we were at the start of Mike White’s reign the Elite of the SEC, almost always expected to be No. 1 or No. 2 behind Kentucky. Any team playing Florida gave us their best shot, because we were Florida. We have devolved into hoping to be in that leg of hierarchy were we are off the “Next 4 in” stress. We went from hoping to steal our way into the Finals to hoping to steal a win or 2 to make it to the Sweet 16. We are no longer SEC Elite in basketball; we are a modeling program that grasps for a Top 50 Season. Florida basketball is not fun anymore, it is angst-filled disappointment with a prayer for a spot in the Top 64 teams.
I liked watching how hard nosed they were on defense. The only thing enjoyable about the offense was Colin. He was the only person night in and night out you could count on. Too much standing around, not enough ball movement (there was some in November not sure what happened). I can't say that it was an enjoyable team to watch. It was a frustrating team to watch is more like it.
Whoa man! Not so fast. I was a PG and a heck of an assist guy for my HS...30 years ago...lol ...and can still take my 11 year old off the dribble, though he has developed a bit of a Harden like step back that he can stick from about 18 ft and make me look dumb.
Now Joe, you know you are just MAD when you threw your wife's entire Waterford Crystal Collection at the TV during Gator games this season and got in her dog-house.....just man up and admit it!
All I know is there sure were a lot of empty seats for a Saturday afternoon Kentucky matchup. Usually those are packed. I don't think Spring Break can explain that away.
Lol. I coach his team too. I tell the guys that Harden is traveling most of the time, but kids are gonna copy these guys. My son has perfected it. Its nuts.
And I like like to drive a high end Mercedes. And if I didn't buy 5 Level 1 seats with booster fees I could.
Disappointed in the outcome, but the way this team fought back from what looked like an insurmountable lead was great to watch. Kowacie just grew up right in front of our eyes. Lane validated his being here. I wish for the guys that they could keep marching on, but unfortunately it’s over unless it’s in the NIT. Exciting season of highs and lows, and it drained us emotionally. Ill miss this team, even if it fell short of expectations.
