That’s because Castleton doesn’t defend hard against whoever he’s guarding. Castleton would rather avoid foul trouble. It’s pretty evident watching him on defense.

At least in the top 3-4. We were Kentucky’s biggest threat most seasons under Donovan. We are lucky to crack the top five in conference with White.

I was commenting on the games that OT didn't score much. I wasn't talking about Castleton. I agree, though, that he (CC) seems to give up easy scores to avoid fouling, but he's no good to us on the bench, so that might be by design.

The best part of the day for me was meeting Keyontae after the game. It was important to me to tell him that we were praying for him and cheering for him. I was also able to tell Castleton great game. My boy was able to get autographs and a picture with Mintz as well.

We are irrelevant. Even making the tournament every year, there is zero expectation of us to be a contender at conference or national level.

Of course it is by design but if you give up more points than you score you are losing the battle at your position. Castleton might score 20 but if he gives up 27, a teammate has to score 7 more points than the person at their position to keep even. At the start of the second half, Tshiebwe scored 9 straight points when the Gators were trying to make a run. If a team knows they can score at will by going to one player, there’s no realistic way to beat them if you can’t get a stop. They should have tried to double up on him when he got it down low. We made no adjustments at all on Tshiebwe, just content on letting him score time after time. Does a good coach allow this happen and not make any adjustments? I just think that a coach making $3 million a season should be better than what we are seeing.

No denying that the Gators have a lot of fight in them. UK was just too talented. Cutting the game to six points and the ball made it at least interesting at the end. If only we shot 3's like we did at Vandy.

Seeing KJ dressed out and starting was awesome. Say what you want about Cal he showed some real class allowing this to happen. Kind of like when Pitino made a deal with BD for Brent Wright to get a start on Senior Day.

First half was extremely physical with very few fouls called. Calling a game that way was edge to UK. I told my friend that there would be a lot more whistles in the second half.

Why no review of the play where Appleby got smacked in the face?

    I had seen free throws air-balled before, but I can't remember seeing a lay-up air-balled before.

Depends on ur definition of slowed down i guess. Even when he doesn't score a lot he's a rebounding machine, avg over 15 a game. Imo, the best player in the SEC.

Well, I suppose anything less than the 27 points that we gave up to him in each game that Florida and Kentucky played would be considered slowing him down. Pretty sure those were close to his season highs.

I agree we should have doubled. He is too much for one guy when that guy is trying but to foul. Reminds me of the 2007 National Championship game when we played Oden and didn't double Oden, but we had 4 bigs and were willing to give up 2s to him while we were hitting 3s on the other end.

I produced a show where we interviewed Cal like 6 or so years back. People can say what they want but he is a good dude.

Calipari is just like a good used car salesman, he can sell ice to an Eskimo. I’m not a fan but he was the perfect fit for the job at Kentucky. Not a great x and o’s coach but his recruiting makes up for what he lacks on in-game coaching decisions.

That was a pathetic performance in such a big game. The fact they couldn't even lose a close game says something. This is a recurring theme for this team. Of course they can't win many big games because they have absolutely no consistency whatsoever. Imo, it's time for a change regardless of what some White supporters thinks. This product put out by White is not cutting it. People talk about some guys coming back with the incoming class and this is going to be a really good team. I'm seeing nothing from anyone other than CC that tells me this can be a really good team. Enough is enough already. Not making a change because you feel you can't do better or our fanbase isn't passionate enough is not a reason not to.

If the Administration doesn't care that much, then this has to change as well and a new coach is the only way it will. I know many casual fans who have stopped watching Florida Basketball because of White. Is there anything worse than apathy. We're not blueblood. That's fine, but doesn't mean a new coach can't bring the casual fans back. Settling for mediocrity shouldn't be acceptable and that's exactly where we are right now.

My brother and my 2 nephews went and now go to Wisconsin and they're a top 25 team every year. There is absolutely no reason we shouldn't be either. The difference between the teams is coaching. Year 7 and coaching & knowing how to build a team is not getting better. In fact, White's teams peaked in talent the last few years and White couldn't do much with those teams. Now talent is not as good with 7 seniors and we're supposed to think the team will be better next year. Yes we have a good class, but this is not a super class where talent alone will make us a top 25 team. In fact, its likely this team may be even worse next year and that should be all SS needs to see. They now have to win 2 SECt games to get into the tournament and if we actually win the first game, does anybody really believe we're going to beat 1 of the SEC's Big 4. Maybe the best shot is Auburn if A&M beats Miss St. Otherwise we'll get crushed by UK even worse than the first time we played them. Once Florida doesn't win 2 SEC games, SS's decision should be easy and if he doesn't get rid of White, myself and the majority of the fanbase we'll know he doesn't really care about Florida Basketball.
