Not really. Which is probably why it’s either depart with White this year or commit to him long term because next year will be tough no matter the coach.
Offensive struggles once again. If we would have shot 35% from 3, we win. Instead, it was a putrid 15%.
I thought we’d struggle today but as usual played hard. Still sucks to lose. Im not sure if the coaching staff is good at math - exchanging 2 free throws for layups didn’t help to cut the gap in the final 30 seconds.
LOL.......I'm only embarrassed by some of the fair-weather fans. It's a bad look. I hope at some point the culture changes - but am not too optimistic, given all the fragile egos involved. Florida is a very well-respected program by the entire nation....with the exception of some of their "entitled" fans. GO Gators!
Hate to say it, but Kentucky could win another NC. Big O is just a dominant player, hard to see anybody stopping him unless they get hot from 3 pt land.
Tshiebwe struggles on offense when taller players play him tough on defense. Castleton is so afraid or maybe coached to not foul so he doesn’t put up a lot of resistance on defense.
Looking at his stats and the games I've watched that hasn't been close to true. He could easily be player of the year in sec and nationally. Has nothing to do with MW coaching.
I'd say he is coached that way . . . with only Gatkek behind him. What I like even less is the scheme (I can't understand at all) where CC is out guarding past the 3-point line (actually defending a guard/shooter) and then has to run and try getting back into the lane when they simply reverse the ball and before a big for the other team shoots over a smaller player stuck playing defense on him. That said . . . I LOVE how CC and the other kids work their tails off and will not quit against anyone.
He’s had 8 games that he has scored 13 points or less. One game he failed to score a single point. So, yeah he can be slowed down.
Easy to "respect" a program that isn't a threat to win anything of note. He is a nice guy that won't get anybody else fired by beating them too often. This is what the Kentucky side was saying after today. Hard to argue with it:

Exactly. We are no longer competition for anything of significance. It’s not entitlement to think we should be top SEC program competing for conference titles.
