It all comes down to tomorrow. Win, and we're almost definitely in the tournament. Lose, and it's an uphill battle at the SECT.

I have been a long time White supporter. Respect the man, question the coach.
The challenge I have is that he has had a horrible run of luck with injuries to key players. I strongly believe this discussion would not be happening if so many key players had not been hurt.
OTOH, the lack of a cohesive offense, the choice to play not to lose and ridiculous mistakes have been downright painful to watch.
The flip-side of that is that this is a team of dogs who clearly respect him.
Fundamentally though, he has lost a lot of fan enthusiasm and that translates to dollars.
Should he stay or go? Hell if I know.

Kentucky caught on a three turnaround and Duruji was starting. Also playing at home in Kentucky they get the calls. It will be different this time because of urgency and a better starting five. Our offense seems to work better with Phlan starting. Kentucky has a very tough team this year but they will be in for a fight. If everybody contributes, we like Arkansas can topple them. get positive for Saturday!

Samford was 10-8 in league play. I should be impressed?

In 2007 when in the Ohio Valley conference they were 12-8.

Being mediocre in a very weak conference is faint praise.

    1. It's not a very weak conference.
    2. You had to go back 15 years to find a comparable season.
    3. My focus was on the huge improvement made with Glover at the point. Your focus just seems to be to play the role of an annoying, but ignorant, contrarian.

    LOL.

And 15 years ago Samford was not even in that conference.

Being the #12 conference in Pomeroy is pretty weak by my standards. Maybe strong by yours.

I am sure if they were missing some other players maybe there record would not be as good. He's a big part but a part.
He has taken 400 shots shooting 30% from 3 and 80%from the line.
Appleby has taken 241 35% from 3and 87% from the line and more asst.
Trade the 2 same amount of shots, Samford is maybe better we would be screaming for him to pass more and .not as good as we are. He's a scoring PG as he aves what 3asst. Yes if players hit more shots he would be getting more but so would Appleby.
To say hands down Glover is better is just your opinion not a fact. Different conference, different players, different crowds we can't know who is better. Both good I would take Appleby you would take Glover, that's why they are called opinions.
Yet you take it personal if someone likes Appleby better, why?
You say go watch film they are called highlights for a reason. I like Glover but think Appleby would start. Heck maybe both start.
I like reading your posts but you take things personal so I tried to not respond but can't help it love to mess with you and want you to not take it personal.

OK. People need to make their pick now and stick with it for five years. They seem to know enough to ask that someone get fired, they can make the hire here. There is only one head coach, not plenty, so it time to stand up proud and recapture past glory right here in this board. Make your one pick so we can follow the greatness of our new coach.

White is between Devoe and Donovan.

I'd like a coach better than Donovan some day.

Every single year it is something. White isn’t awful but it’s not a coincidence that every single year ends with Florida being meh. Somewhere in the 30-50th range in the country. Every year

Did he do a good job with some players that are here? Sure

But he is the reason we have the players we do.

But then you can point to years where players underperformed.

    So it’s always something

Of course the next coach may be a dud. But worst case isn’t much worse. And even if the next one is worse, it doesn’t take much of a coach to get us back to this level. White is the definition of replacement level

My orange and blue glasses prediction....Mike Whites gators will win the SEC tournament - his first league or tourney title. Clinching a tourney bid and throwing a possible impending departure into chaos.

And that will be the situation every year he stays. Seven years has been ample time to either do something or not. It’s time for a change.

These are the stats right now.

    Glover Appleby

    Games 27 —— 30
    Minutes 30.7 —— 27.6
    FG % 46.8 —— 37.8
    3 pt % 30.9 —— 35.1
    FT % 80.0 —— 87
    REB 2.9 —— 2.0
    AST 4.4 —— 3.8
    BLK. 0.0 —— 0.1
    STL 1.2 —— 1.3
    PF 2.1 —— 1.8
    TO 2.7 —— 2.5
    PPG 19.1 —— 11.4

You are right that there is no way to tell who would be better. Would you agree that Appleby has the benefit of better talent surrounding him, which impacts his numbers? And maybe similar to Nebhardt, Glover felt the offense called by White wasn’t the best fit for his talents.

But with the amount of player turnover that has occurred under White, there will always be these questions as to whether White is correctly utilizing his players, including those who have left the team.

So you think you know enough to fire him but not enough to solve the problem you believe exists. Just name your guy. It's so simple. We can folliw your solution wherever he or she is.

DeVoe was great at UT until they fired him to hire the father of a player they wanted.

Yes agree about talent around him Still 400 shots to 241 he better be putting up big numbers.Appleby with 400 shots at Samford would be putting up 24-26 a game.
Like you said don't know who is better I do think Glover is more consistent but game after game Appleby plays tougher teams and better players.
