    Zelensky on NATO:

    "
"NATO has deliberately decided not to cover the skies over Ukraine," Zelensky said in a Facebook address late on Friday.

"We believe that NATO countries have created a narrative that closing the skies over Ukraine would provoke Russia's direct aggression against NATO. This is the self-hypnosis of those who are weak, insecure inside, despite the fact they possess weapons many times stronger than we have," he said."

Frankly at this point, like he said, if you're not going to help him get him some planes. You may even get some volunteer retired pilots that can handle it. Then it's still Ukraine fighting.

I know he is pissed and rightfully so, BUT don't bite the hand that feeds you. They may stop bringing you food all together.

If Pootie pie had no nukes it is far more likely that a no fly zone would have been put in place already.

Well yeah, that whole convoy that is a sitting duck could be obliterated too. Destroy a massive section of their invasion force. Except… nukes.

Did it occur to you that maybe they don’t want embassies tweeting things that could put them in danger, especially in Kiev?

Yes it did. But it seems more about not wanting to label anything Putin is doing a war crime than concern about safety-- especially considering Biden's refusal to call anything that's happened an actual war crime.

From CNN live, video from in the control room (video is on CNN) where you can hear them yelling at Russian forces over the PA.

"Ukrainian authorities have released video from inside the control room at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power station, which was taken over by Russian forces late Thursday. The video shows the inside of the control room as an announcement rings out on a PA system aimed at the Russian forces outside.
    ...
"Stop shooting at a nuclear dangerous facility. Stop shooting immediately! You threaten the security of the whole world!" "The work of the vital organs of the Zaporizhzhia station may be disrupted. It will be impossible for us to restore it." "You are endangering the security of the entire world. Attention! Stop shooting at a nuclear hazardous facility. Stop shooting at a nuclear hazardous facility!" "Stop shooting at a nuclear hazardous facility! Attention! Stop it!""

Its interesting how we are all aghast at what is going on, as am I, but we were mostly content to let it happen in Syria. It was absolutely brutal. At the end of the day we all tend to identify most with people that look like us and share our values.

If pootie had no nukes we would have laid waste to that entire convoy and anything Russian in Ukraine bigger than 2 square meters.

Um...it should've absolutely been declared a war crime then, too. My opinion anyway. Hence why I'm saying he's done this & hyperbarics with no consequences so he can pretty much do what he wants.

I know the Biden=bad man is an easier narrative, but there are probably reasons why they aren’t. Maybe good, maybe not. It could be that once you have declared war crimes there is no chance of a negotiated settlement, as slim as that chance currently is.

It’s a tough conundrum because these people use shell games to hide their assets. It needs to have some degree of due process, but it also needs to cut through the bullshit. If we were serious about it, lot of westerners would get caught up in it too. So much of this criminal money is hidden in western nations, parked in real estate, etc.

So...remember the plan for the propaganda video where they were bringing food, they had "civilians" coming from Crimea, etc? The plan was to hand out food & the people would be grateful. They were going to have cameras set up & film everything.

So when the moment came, none of the townspeople took food, came out with Ukranian flags, chanting that the city was Ukranian and for the invaders & murderers to go home.

The US would have to ask The Hague to stop their investigation, then, because those charges/allegations already came out & are being processed.

I'm betting a good chunk had them in Swiss Bank accounts. You know, the history neutral and tight lipped ones.

I’ve heard some outrage about not getting enough weapons there. I can’t speak to whether it is deserved or not, but what I have heard is the logistics of getting the weapons there isn’t necessarily easy.

Efforts to supply weapons to Ukraine face multiple obstacles
