For context, the #2 holder of Bank of America is Vanguard group with $25 BILLION I know it’s Russia, but surely the biggest shareholders of their largest banks would have positions larger than $13 million?

Yes I'd read that. If that policy was in place for WW2 how much more would the Allies have allowed Hitler to do? At some point evil isn't rational. I get it, that's why I just type & there are experts handling it, but at what point does the world say enough? And I get the red line is NATO. Does this mean Russia will be allowed to invade Finland? Sweden? They want to join NATO. Will it be okay if Russia decides to blow up some nuclear plants/drop small tactical nukes? Those would hurt other countries too. I get it. But I think Putin knows short of bombing London or Paris he can do what he likes. And his supporters here and abroad will cheer him for it.

Keep seeing that Russians are turning to crypto ... let that stew for a few days, then if the government has any bullets to crash crypto (big sales of seized cryptos, talk of regulation or banning, etc.) do it. And I say that as someone who invests a little in crypto.

These are valid questions that the article also raises. I don’t have good answers. There seems to be a lot of positive views of the current strategy, but a severe escalation in Ukraine or an attack on Finland would make the quandary all the more stark.
