The 2022 Gator Track and Field roster is out. The women’s team really loaded up with quality transfers (most already discussed here), the men also added some excellent athletes. I did notice that Alfonso Hale, a very good freshman 400/400H freshman from Georgia isn’t listed, and that Chantz Sawyers (400 meters) didn’t return for his redshirt senior year outdoors. Kurt Powdar 110HH from Grant Holloway’s old high school wasn’t on the roster. It is possible he will be here later since he was transferring from a Community College.
John, is this inside information? Because I don't see him listed on the official Floridagators.com team roster: 2022 Track and Field Roster - Florida Gators
Both Kurt Powdar and Champion Allison added to the Spring roster within the last 24 hours: 2022 Track and Field Roster - Florida Gators That will certainly add some significant points.
Powdar can be a star with some good coaching, at least that’s what people have said for years. Great to see him finally make it in.
Womens team is stacked this year and will be for the next few years. Mens team is top 3 talent, can even sneak a title if things fall right and we stay healthy

2022-2023 additions to the women's roster: Pan Am Junior Champion, National and State Champions Highlight Florida’s Recruiting Class - Florida Gators Mouse continues to role.
got to talk to about the mens team, Mouse thinks the sprinters will really explode during outdoors and next year, they have a few middle distance and long distance runners they like a lot. But the throwers they have coming in they love. Think they will be big scorers when getting on campus. They think Kevar Williams has Joe like top end speed, just need to get him on the weights. Where they are struggling is other field events and jumps. We will look to the portal probably for more.
Logan Montgomery out of of Georgia (thrower) is a very intriguing athlete… while his throw numbers are very good for high school…at least at first glance, they are not elite, however as a sophomore he was only throwing 46’ 61/4” in the shot put, he improved by over 14’ in his junior year to 60’ 9 1/2” and has continued his progression this year. Hessling is listed at 6’ 4” but only 210 lbs. He should improve dramatically with weight training.
Kevar Williams ran a nation leading, wind legal 10.37 at the Bob Hayes meet. He also ran a 20.88 200 meters which is 2nd in the country, beating the U.S. 200 leader in the process.
