Meanwhile Lunardi has Xavier as a 9 seed. It's way past time that they're still in the field. They should be firmly on the bubble quickly falling off. The committee has always looked at how a team plays down the stretch and Xavier just got crushed by St. John's losing by 15 points.

Xavier had now lost 9 of their last 12 games, 7 of their last 8 and 5 in a row... but per Lunardi they have those 5 Golden Quad 1 wins so all is good. Lol.

Unfortunately they play mighty Georgetown with their 6 wins to close the season. Stil, imo this is a terrible record down the stretch and should take them out of the field.

Bama just got crushed by A&M at home. What an odd team. Incredibly if Florida beats UK on Saturday, LSU loses tonight at Arkansas but beats Bama on Saturday at home, Florida gets the 5 seed in the SECt. Of course beating UK is going to take Florida shooting lights out while UK has an off game, but what a crazy turn of events that will be if that happens.

I probably should of looked closer before mentioned the hokies. I basically went off record in their last 10 and Ken Pom had them at #28 in the country, for comparison UF is #51. Explain it.. I cannot

Good news for Florida as FSU beat Notre Dame, who had a Net Ranking of 48. Brutal loss for Notre Dame who Lunardi somehow had as an 8 seed. Notre Dame is 2-6 vs Quad 1, which was vs Miami and they did beat UK. Guess Lunardi is giving them a lot of credit for that win. After tonight's game, Notre Dame is 5-9 vs Quad 1 or 2 teams. Meanwhile, Florida is 6-10 vs Quad 1 or 2 teams.

In addition, Oklahoma St. just crushed Iowa St. by 17 points at Iowa State with a Net Ranking of 35. Iowa St. is safely in the field but this should help Florida's metrics.

Unfortunately Rutgers just probably clinched an at large with their 6th Quad 1 victory, but this should severely damage Indiana's chances who Lunardi has as one of his last 4 in.

Indiana is now 9-10 in the Big Ten and finish the season at Purdue. If they lose that game, they should be completely eliminated with a losing record in conference. They are 3-6 vs Quad 1 and with tonight's loss 6-11 vs Quad 1 or 2 teams if Rutgers moves into the top 75 with their win. Otherwise the loss will count as a Quad 3 loss.

Decent night so far. UConn started out horribly at Creighton but they are clawing back into it.

They have fought back up 1 now with 4 left.
But away from home their offense is only ranked 90th. If they can’t figure that out they are going out early in the tournament. From my eye it’s bad shots, settle shots and just getting out worked.
And again, bad shots are my biggest let leave in basketball, it’s totally controllable, selfish and as good as about 2/3 of a turnover.

Really need Auburn to win. Miss St. win would not be good.

Auburn is going to find a way in OT, which really helps.

Big win by Auburn pretty much ending Miss St. getting an at large and ensuring Florida will have a higher seed than Miss St. in the SECt.

LSU lost again. Have no idea why they’re as highly regarddd as they are.

meantime; this was the end of true IU RU game.

Yep, LSU collapsed at the end or the Hogs home crowd brought them thru.

I posted in another thread LSU now with a losing sec record having lost 3 of last 4 and finish with Bama who is also over seated imo.

Arkansas barely beats LSU by 1 as LSU had plenty of chances to win.

So with 1 game to play if Florida beats UK and LSU wins at home vs Bama, Florida gets the 5 seed in the SECt. What a crazy turn of events that would be. At worst they would be the 6 seed. I think Florida locks up a spot in the dance in this scenario. 5th or 6th in SEC and a winning conference record, then imo Florida is in.

However, with a loss to UK, Florida can still get the 6 seed if Bama wins at LSU, Auburn wins at home vs SC and Miss St wins at A&M. Florida would then play Vandy with the winner most likely playing Tenn as I'm going to say Tenn beats Arkansas at home where they haven't lost in the SEC all year. Florida would most likely need to win both to get into the dance.

I'm giving SC very little chance at Auburn needing a win to clinch an outright SEC regular season championship, so I think the worst seed Florida would get is an 8 seed. In that scenario they'd play SC with the winner getting Auburn. Florida would most likely need to win these 2 games to lock up a bid.

I'm not sure Miss St will win at A&M after a crushing loss and confusing Bama could win at LSU so in that scenario Florida gets the 7 seed. Here they would play Miss St with the winner most likely playing UK which would essentially be a home game for them.

I have been looking into the Mike White at Florida versus Bruce "The Cheater" Pearl at Auburn head to head over the years. Anyone want to guess what it is?

Alabama is a strange team. They probably have some of the best collection of wins of anyone in the country (Houston, Gonzaga, Tennessee, Arkansas, Baylor) plus some solid wins over good mid-major programs (South Dakota State (27-4), Drake (22-9), and La Tech 21-8) but also have a ton of questionable losses (like tonight against A&M, at Georgia, and at Missouri). Even looking at some of their OOC losses that concerned folks early on, Iona(24-5) and Davidson (25-4) have turned out to be great teams. I believe every single team Alabama played in their OOC schedule has a winning record and are at or near the top of their conference. Insane schedule.

I would think Mike White definitely has the upper hand.

Crazy stat of the day... top 4 seeds in the SEC Auburn, UK, Arkansas and Tennessee are 65-2 at home, both losses belong to Arkansas.
