That's stupid, just hurting the local economy. The distributor already has his money from the seller. The seller will just have inventory it can't sell. The producer already has their money from the distributor. The distributor is just sitting on inventory it can't sell to the seller.
Also seems like Russian oil would be more impactful, but we all know what happens when gas prices go up in this country.

Doesn't justify it all but it is a response to the UN and the rest of the world for ignoring the resolution when you cannot get the resolution enforced. It boggles my mind that people don't understand Putin was forced into some sort of retaliation especially when diplomatic solutions are fruitless. You provoke the bear you get a thumb in the eye. The meddling in Ukraine by the west has been going on for years and to suggest the US wasn't involved in all of it is myopic.
