Here are the teams currently above UF. So we're about #17 in line for a bid. Lots of teams to jump in the next 4+ games in order to be considered for a chance to knock one of the 68 out.

Our chances have improved a little after the UGA win. Saturday's shakeup was positive for UF. We now have just 5 teams projected to be between us & the projected field of 68.

Vandy will be a Quad 1 win we must have. We must win the 1st SEC tourney game against LSU or USC or MSU. Then we'll need to beat UK or the #1 seed in the SEC tourney, Auburn/UT, to be assured of a bid.

I posted this on another thread that was dying.

    my thoughts:
3 straight hall of fame coaches in a row (minus Devoe yr) built us into the clear 2nd best team in SEC over 30 years of hard work. For us to hire like we were an ole miss or mizzou after Donovan was a joke. It just took a crap on the hard work Sloan, Kruger, and mainly Donovan did for this program. I have given it 7 years enough is enough.

Born and raised in Ocala so have been going to games since Alligator Alley.

I never realized that we had (will have) three consecutive HOF coaches. Might reset the perspective of people who want to tamp down fan expectations of where the program should be.

I don't think that Sloane or Kruger are in the Hall of Fame and might not ever be. Sloane will never be given probation under him at both NC State and Florida. Kruger is a borderline candidate and I think deserving. BD is not in the HOF but will be someday.

I'm not going to tell anyone what their opinion of Mike White should be, but I do think we should not make stuff up.
Instead of 3 straight Hall-of-Fame coaches, we've actually had zero. Out of 18, dating back to 1915.
Looking at the UF media guide, Billy Donovan ranks first of those 18 coaches in total wins, followed by Sloan and White. C.J. McCoy has the best win percentage, followed by Donovan and White. Donovan has the most SEC wins, followed by White. Donovan has the best SEC percentage, followed by White.
Just some perspective. See page 110 of the media guide.

shouldn’t count part time coaches as Norm Sloan was our first full time BB coach. Before that, assistant football coaches did most of it.

Still, how many Hall of Fame coaches?

BD eventually, but any others are a reach.

And BD was eligible for years before they recently put in an age restriction.

Getting technical here on whether hall of fame coaches. Sloan won a national ch so he should be in. Kruger took how many different teams to final fours? 3 correct? 2 at least. (Edit he took two Ok and UF for some reason i thought he took Illinois but he did not). He will make it I believe. It might be close on those two. Donovan will be in book it. Irrespective 3 bad ass coaches busted their ass building us into the clear cut 2nd best sec program and that is not even close. I don’t like that we hired a coach like we were ole miss or mizzou. When we hired White we acted like we had not been to effing 5 final fours in the previous 21 years. We had 8 elite 8’s or seven at least. 3 final games. I have shut my mouth because White deserved a chance. 7 years is enough. All we are are now is a middle of the pack sec team now. Quit screwing around and go big and hire a real coach.

Kruger took Florida and Oklahoma to the final four, he did also get Kansas State to the elite eight. I believe he is still the only coach to win NCAA tournament games with 5 different teams.

I also believe Kruger will end up in the hall of fame.

Norm Sloan may not make because of off court issues, some of which were created, or at least greatly magnified by our own UAA.

Yes off on my facts as far as Kruger. 2 different teams to final 4's. Irrespective 3 great coaches built us into what we were when Donovan left (mostly by Donovan for sure). I love White. Been rooting really hard for him just don't think he is ever going to turn into an elite coach. Where is Larry Shyatt when you need him as an assistant?

Great road win for the Gators over #209 ranked Georgia on the road. In other Gator sports news, the #3 ranked Gator women’s gymnasts beat the #2 ranked Oklahoma women’s gymnasts on Friday before a sold out O’Dome crowd.

Still the same number, I'm saying you shouldn't be saying out of 18 coaches going back to 1915. We've had 6 (not counting Capt. Ahab) since 1960 to finish a season.

Is it 10 or 9 that would get us to the Final Four? In either event, it would require White to actually figure out how to coach, So, I would be excited.

I don't remember ESPN's Bubble Watch being behind the pay wall. Is this the first year? Sucks
