I agree that Putin has to go as one of the prices of normalizing relations with the West once this is over. I don’t care if he pays the debt that cancels all others, as others have suggested, or exile on St. Helena. But he can’t live in Russia or any of its vassal states, where he continues to run the country from behind the curtain.

This might accelerate the desired revolution. Belorussian troops are even more likely to revolt if thrown into an aggressive war on behalf of Russia.

Now this is where countries that border Belarus(Poland, Latvia, Lithuania) mass their troops on their respective borders and say if you go into Ukraine we cross over into Belarus while you are unprotected.

I hope they got out as many useless mouths as possible. Starvation is an ugly way to go, and the fighters need whatever food is available.

I agree with your sentiment, but America need not risk something like that which could turn sour and be used as propaganda inside Russia. The people of Russia will handle it. It's gonna get ugly when banks open Monday morning in Russia.

The Russians need to off Putin to set the example or they'll just get another reincarnation of Putin.

Fortunately, I think they did get most non-fighting civilians out of Kiev.

Difficult situation to navigate, but if I believe if Poland, Latvia and Lithuania did this, we'd certainly be on the precipice of WW3.

Sending ashes home might be worse. Have to believe that still won't play well back home.

Possibly. Having armies sitting at 3 different points on your border would hopefully make Belarus think twice.
My belief is the countries in the Baltics need to be involved ( skin in the game) instead of expecting the Western powers to handle this

I wonder if Putin is directing his armed forces personally (ala Hitler) or whether Russian war planners are this bad. Have not seen this addressed in the reports I've read.

From a CNN live article talking about Ukranian Americans, their families, etc. Thought this quote was worth mentioning:

"You can't just say Ukraine is not my problem," Soroka said. "Right now Ukraine is fighting to keep the world order. And if the world leaders won't get involved in a serious way, a world war will be on their conscious.""

...or, are Putin's pawns really not ready at all for this?

USSR had legions of battle tested vets b4 its first non-German skirmish.

These poor kids have nothing but books they read in school and grampa's stale tales of the Red Army hay day.

...against men women and kids fighting for hearth n home, and life itself.

    Advantage: Ukes.

You are more correct than you know. Cremation is strictly forbidden by the Eastern Orthodox Church.

    Can Orthodox Christians Be Cremated?

Just remember if Belarussian or Russian forces fire on Baltic forces, they've fired upon NATO, which means America has to jump in.

You really want to screw with Russia. There is a piece of land that sits between Poland and Lithuania that belongs to Russia but not attached to Russia. Start massing troops on that border. Tell Russia that it belongs to Poland and they want it back and since Russia has set a precedent by invading Ukraine, well...
