Shine his resume up and get him hired at an SEC west school.

Please let it happen. I can't believe anyone would hire him. Yet Saban loses assistants left and right, so I guess he needs someone.

Grantham has been horrible everywhere he has been.

Maybe the Gumps will hire Hevesy also!! Wahoo

I’m betting it’s as an analyst or position coach , not as a DC.

If he has the players, his system probably will work.

Definitely smoke here. SOG will probably be a lowly analyst for a year then a position coach (working with 5-stars) and then get another chance somewhere. Saban has mastered this approach and wouldn't be taking him on if Saban didn't think it would help The Gumps.

I read where @FeeBart said he thinks Grantham's scheme can be pretty easily fixed --especially by someone like Saban -- and I defer to @Fee . IMO, it could work out too without TG having to recruit.

Saban: "Todd, what would you do in this situation?"
Grantham: "well, I'd do such and such."
    Saban: "We'll do something different."

Yep, the plan would be to do whatever the opposite is of what Grantham thinks should be the action. It's genius. Kind of like Bizarro World in the old Superman comic books.

Grantham's defense is not fixable in college football. Anyone that says otherwise is sadly mistaken.

Can you imagine TG telling Saban...I have this amazing blitz scheme where you line up a safety 20 yards off the line of scrimmage and then blitz and sometimes we will delay blitz off that as well to disguise it even more!

I assume Grantham has a pretty good football mind. I think we have also seen there is definitely a disconnect between his defense and the college game. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him do well there. But I don't expect him to be a decision maker with carte Blanche authority like he had here. I think he will be an assistant there and do well....much to our dismay.

Grantham is a great football mind, pretty good position coach and a terrible defensive coordinator. Him going through Saban's coaching rehab program over in Tuscaloosa is a really good idea for him (IMO) and he'll be a good asset for the program in terms of prep and self scouting.

I'd hire him just for the satisfaction of firing him immediately.

Well, something needed to happen to bring Bama back down to where the rest of college football is.
