Some folks on here need to study up on the recent political history of Ukraine and how political operatives of both US political parties were involved. It is a deep and twisted tale of political operatives chasing money and ultimately ended up having an impact on US politics. I’m not going to say that every American should rally around Biden but I think he should get a grace period of 72 to 96 hours to show what his Admin is doing. Putin just went with his most Dangerous Course of Action and that changes the calculus a fair amount.

Wonder if those supporting Putin realize that may sway voters against them & put the midterms at risk? Like I've said Biden has done enough and is unpopular enough, but basically he & his supporters are saying democracy isn't important and Putin can do as he likes. Those who have a lick of decency and common sense need to continue to speak up loudly lest they be grouped in with the other Putin lovers. And I fully stand by my statement that it feels like pre WW2 appeasement. Sanctions are ok and they need to go waaaaaay further. But by basically saying yesterday that he didn't expect Sanctions to stop Putin from taking over Ukraine, it's basically saying "fine you can have Ukraine but don't go further". Literally how UK and others negotiated with Hitler. So Hitler kept taking and taking. And frankly I doubt Biden will come down on China supporting Putin because the economic havoc would be really bad....once again bringing to the front that the US & other western countries need to stop relying so much on cheap labor/lack of regulations and ramp up manufacturing here.
Ok hear me out. This is considered supporting Russia. Can the US now FINALLY send a cyber attack or something, sanction them, etc, and TAKE OUT their call centers/scammers?

I'm sure a better mind than me can explain deeper but I'd read something about years ago Putin going to India and then India signing a bunch of trade agreements, alliances, etc, good until the late 2030s? Plus likely seeing an opportunity to make money.

They’ve always been Russia/USSR aligned. India had a “Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation” with the USSR, and refer to their relationship with Russia now as a “special and privileged strategic partnership.” India is either the largest or second largest export market for Russian military equipment, etc. The US would have the potential option of using a sanctions threat against India to get them to fall in line. There is an existing US law that should have resulted in sanctions against India for buying Russian S400 missile systems in 2018 and leasing a Russian nuclear submarine in 2019, but the US has been granting them waivers from the sanctions as not being in the US’s best interests. Not sure those waivers will necessarily continue if India is going this direction.
