It comes out now that Belarus is attacking Ukraine too. Assuming that's confirmed, Belarus is now the enemy too. The U.S. and Europe cannot just sit on their hands. They need to make Russia and Belarus regret what they're doing.

 

Not surprising, Belarus is effectively a Russian vassal state.

On the positive side, Reuters is reporting that the Ukrainian military has said that it has shot down 5 Russian jets and an attack helicopter.

I'm sure Putin knew that would be the response. He's obviously decided that it's worth it. That's not really surprising as security threats generally trump economic threats.

Yes. Ukraine is not a NATO member.

The United States has now transferred troops to every single NATO nation on the borders of Russia, Belarus and the soon-to-be-former Ukraine. Any aggressive movement beyond the soon-to-be-former Ukraine will involve attacks on Americans, as well as NATO member states and will likely result in war.
