I can see it both ways. The freshmen were 10 when we went to the final 4 in 2014 and playing t-ball when we won it all.

With all the video and facial recognition there might be some students with some Dean of Students conduct issues

I completely agree. I loved it. That was a monstrous win and one that seemed very unlikely especially though a good portion of the 2nd half. I certainly thought we were losing. Regardless of where fans think Florida basketball should be, the Gators 6-7 in the SEC, just lost to A&M in a brutal game and basically had to win a game at home vs maybe the best team in the country, who also has the #1 draft pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. In the moment it seems totally justified to me. A lot of people talk about getting more fans excited about Florida basketball. Seems like a good start to me. Those fans will never forget that moment. I was actually a little jealous in the best way possible.

Us old guys know the tradition and the success. It has been a pretty long time since we’ve truly been relevant

Florida’s win over No. 2 Auburn is the Gators’ first home win over a top-two team in program history.

As long as no players from either team got hurt, I don’t have a problem with it.

It’s not like we didn’t have anything to celebrate.

Compared to crying after getting beatdown at home to 0-7 Texas Southern... a court rush is fine.

I have always had the opinion that once you win a natty the field/court storming is over. However, I also asked myself, if Nebraska football beat Ohio State in Lincoln, do they storm? UNC also stormed the court after beating Duke recently. I don't remember the year exactly.

Yeah, I’m with you on this one. The players usually love it, the fans enjoyed it, and can’t really say “act like you’ve been there before’ since we have never beaten a top 2 team at home in school history. A fun experience for all involved (I’m assuming no one got hurt and no one got involved with auburn coaches or players).

Those complaining about it seem a little “get off of my lawn” on this one.

It’s usually the school that ok’s a bum rush and it’s good for everything. Don’t know what you are all talking about?

How is it above us to cheer? Rushing the court shows passion and mojo and you know what else it’s great for?

Its great for highlights which is great for recruiting. The kids are never tsk tsk at that fan base, they must never win.

We aren’t a Cinderella team since decades ago now. I remember. I’m with the “fine with it” crowd, actually with the ones that did. When the schools aren’t calling for it, its’s pure energy.

We rushed the field in football a few times back in the day. I remember watching a goal post being carried out if the stadium after one celebration unless my old mind is playing tricks on me. Think it was early 80s when goal posts torn down??

You may be thinking of Jacksonville, in 84 after we destroyed UGA.
To the best of my (admittedly limited) knowledge, it's never happened in Gainesville.

I was gonna say "act like you've been there," but sadly none of the players or students have ever "been there." Court storming is bush league and who we have become. I just need to come to grips with it and accept it I guess. Sigh.

I want to say that I do remember them coming down in Gainesville. Maybe more than once. Then they started guarding them with K9 officers and no one was drunk enough to try it after that. Things could get pretty rowdy during and after the games in the early to mid 80's.

When you could clearly here the "defense" chant from AUBURN fans earlier, I am thrilled that the O'dome responded, turned it up a notch and contributed to a huge win. Let the kids be kids.
