New report on Michael Cohen's repeat visits with Manhattan DA is 'not good news for Trump': ex-US Attorney
You don’t have the same witness in 7 times unless you’re lining up indictments. We’ve all seen Michael Cohen give interviews...they’re not calling him back for the laughs and pleasantries.
Surprised that this hasn't already been posted given that Fani Willis, the Fulton County DA retained John Floyd several days ago. RICO Expert Hired By Fulton County Prosecutor Investigating Trump Call
It's ironic that Trump's 3 appointees voted against him in every case re: election fraud and also in this case re: tax returns. People were freaking out that these 3 would do Trump's bidding. I guess these appointees should have been given a little more credit in the integrity department.
and now they have had to remove a wax statue of Trump in texas because so many people have been punching it..lol Texas museum removes wax Trump figure after visitors kept punching it (msn.com) A wax museum in downtown San Antonio, Texas, removed its wax statue of former President Trump after it was repeatedly vandalized, the San Antonio Express-News reports. Louis Tussaud's Waxworks pulled the figure from public view after it sustained multiple beatings, and transferred it into storage. The scratches on the Trump figure's face were especially damaging, said Clay Stewart, the regional manager of parent company Ripley's Entertainment. "When it's a highly political figure, attacks can be a problem," Stewart said, according to the Express-News.
Or they were cases so obviously lacking in merit that NO reasonable judge could allow them to continue without appearing to be on the take.
Bad week in MAGA world Dumped by accountant Lost case on fraud involving inauguration funds Lost case involving business and will have to appear Lost case on civil suits against him for damages related to the insurrection. This one could be the most damaging. Judge said it pretty clearly. Discovery of boxes of top secret files found at Mar A Lago. Boxes that he personally packed. Files clearly marked. Donald Trump's terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week in court Trump is no stranger to litigation around his business. But Friday's ruling allowing three January 6 civil lawsuits filed against him to move forward said his remarks ahead of the assault presented a "one-of-a-kind" case, the judge said, where the First Amendment would not shield him from liability. "The President's January 6 Rally Speech can reasonably be viewed as a call for collective action," Mehta wrote in his 112-page opinion, adding that the statements were "the essence of civil conspiracy" Mehta's decision means that Trump could eventually find himself at the defense table at a trial.
All of the above taken into account, we have been hearing about the imminent demise of Trump for years now. I will believe it when I see it. Thus far, he continues to skate and seems to be above the law.
I never understood why he ran for President. Given how corruptly his businesses operate why would he want to increase his profile and attract more scrutiny? Competent crooks usually try to keep their heads down not invite attention.
He doesn't possess executive authority or ability to limit scope of investigations or remove prosecutors anymore.
Narcissistic personality disorder. His opinion of himself completely divorced from reality. He's been able to get away with crimes for decades and thought that he could continue to do so. Same reason he thinks that he actually won the election. Also while he was in office he could corruptly use the powers of the presidency to manipulate the system. I still think that when Trump decided to run in 2015 he never expected to win. I'm convinced that he did so for primarily the publicity and assumed that he would return to his television show with even higher ratings. Once he started doing unexpectedly well in the primaries he was convinced that he would win. Politically Trump also had the good fortune of the more conventional Republicans dividing up the vote.
He didn't run to win. He planned to lose and start a Fox News alternative media empire with Roger Ailes with Hillary Clinton as a weakened punching bag.
