Florida and Tennessee are tied for 2nd place in The SEC. Both 10-3. If LSU wins tonight it's a 3 way tie. UT has South Carolina and LSU left. Gators are at LSU on Sunday.
With Tennessee, yes, but don't look too much into that. They should lose again at South Carolina. They are likely ending up 4th. We need to either win Sunday OR have LSU lose tonight or at Tennessee. Right now, I'd say it is USC, Florida, LSU, UT as the Top 4 seeds. If we win at LSU we move to a Top 4 National Seed IMO.
UT has essentially, collapsed. In the last 20 days they've lost to Aubs by 10. That is still Aubs only conference win. Lost to Florida by 15. Lost to U Conn by 20 and now they lose to a 3-9 Bamer by 10. Collapsed.
I said we coasted a bit in the 4th, we were up big and I think they were a bit tired after playing Monday and traveling. I was not talking about the first 3 quarters at all. I guess I need to be more clear next time
I know analytics like NET ranking are shaky the first third of the year. But we are nearing the end. And after last night...Arkansas is 25 and we are 41. Arkansas: 16-9, 3-6 SEC. UF: 20-6, 7-2 SEC.
Just wanna throw out here that Manu looked great last night. Definitely stepped up and affected the game in so many ways. I assume Merritt was out for disciplinary reasons, so hopefully she is back in the rotation for our next game. Also besides our normal contributions I'd love to shout out dut looking great on the defensive end, and I've been impressed by Alberte of course but also Jeriah looking better and better ras the season progresses. Exciting things ahead
It's kind of funny, in RPI, UF is 18 and ARK 36 which makes much more sense. But that system has even more weird outliers, like UCF is 6 lol. Anyways, we continue to trend up in bracketology, now a 6 seed per ESPN: Women's Bracketology: Is Tennessee in danger of falling out of the top 16?
Here's a question for you guys. When was the last time the women's team had a better record than the men's team? 1992????
A lot of young talent showing some growth. I am sure we want to capitalize on this season in the portal, but right now there isn't much room. Barring any new unforeseen transfers out, we only have 1 scholarship available. That is before we know if Zippy, Kristina, or Manu use an extra year (Manu should have 2). I would imagine we lose 1 or 2 more to the portal, but that young depth is very promising.
