That is why you don't go somewhere to just play for this or that coach. Coaching is a business and like any business, the personnel changes constantly. Pick a school you have fallen in love with. If you are good enough, you will play, AND, if you play good enough the NFL will find you no matter if you are at Augustana or Alabama.

Pretty much agree. I'm always amazed at the names of drafted players that crawl across the screen on NFL draft day. So many of them are people you've never heard of from smaller schools. And, I mean, I don't know anyone who picked a college to attend because of the president or the head of the College of Engineering, or their math professor. Those things are fluid.

    Recruiting is a 24/7 grind.

Ole Miss: Ole Miss co-defensive coordinator/outside linebackers coach Chris Kiffin is returning to the Cleveland Browns staff, where he had been the D-line coach, a source tells The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman. The younger Kiffin who took the job last month but realized he didn’t want to be coaching in college again.

He transferred to be able to play with his brother.

“His brother, Tyrone Hopper, recently transferred from North Carolina to Missouri.”

Uncle of Ty'ron Hopper calls out transfer portal process, explains why name was withdrawn

eh, playing for a coach goes a long way if they employ a style that suits your talents. If you go to a school who’s scheme doesn’t fit your talents, you’re screwed. Imagine if Trask went to GT because he loved it when Paul Johnson was there running the triple option lol

Well Trask didn't have much of a decision to make because the school that he loved didn't offer him a scholarship at all (similar to every other FBS school other than UF). And when I say "pick the school you fall in love with" I also mean the one that you believe you fit at best, academically, athletically, and most important, socially.

Very surprising Pittsburgh let him go.

Auburn: Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receivers coach Ike Hilliard has joined Auburn in the same position.

Definitely happy with where we are with our WR coach, but it’s hard to see Ike in someone else’s orange and blue. Happy for him and maybe one day he will find his way home. All these posts are making me remember that 96 team, I think I might be starting to tear up!
