You brought up the English data as somehow better than the data that I posted (which was over the last 120 days), not me. I just linked to what you brought up. It is hilarious that you are now arguing against the data that you brought up to avoid addressing the data that I brought up because it challenged your narrative. Especially, given that how you are attacking the data you brought up is not applicable to the data that I actually brought up.

BTW, here is the death rate of vaccinated versus unvaccinated in England. The death rate for the unvaccinated remains much higher throughout the data.

That person doesn't even have a narrative, only a weak schtick. I'm with those who suggest that person is not deserving of your replies.

I am not arguing against it. I am arguing for it. But to use it properly.

If you want to use the most deadly month when there was less than 500K fully vaccinated in your analysis. By all means. Booster up! Mutz did a great job of providing the hard data. Now hopefully we will get November and December eventually…

Okay, the death rate in England in October was 4.6x higher, as I just showed in the edit. It should be noted that this doesn't age-stratify, which causes issues of underestimating the effect of the vaccine if the elderly have a higher vaccination rate than the younger people. Here is the monthly level data again:

England: COVID-19 monthly death rate by vaccination status

The UK data ourworld relies upon are age-standardized to make for a fairer comparison though not age-stratified so we could see the differences among age groups. Story is still the same, which q already knows because I provided these data to him a month or so ago. Problem is that he keeps focusing on the percentage differences while ignoring that the rates for unvaxxed are considerably higher.

To me this is logic that natural immunity is better than a jab that obviously isn't that effective at all 1,2, 3 etc

You have to not die to get natural immunity. Odds of not dying of 99% vs 99.9% is a big difference. What part of statistics did you fail? Your logic is junk. You just want to pass the loyalty test. All the power to you.

Let me know when you figure out a safe way to deliver natural immunity to the masses. Until they, we're still going to recommend people get a jab.

But you do realize the odds of dying from it vary greatly by age and comorbidities right?
The risk of death under 20 is magnitudes less than the risk of death for 70 and older.
So just saying there is a 1% chance of death doesn't paint the full picture, this is why some vaccines such as influenza and pneumococcal pneumonia are more strongly recommended for older age groups.

Yet over 70k have died since Jan 1, no doubt north of 90% unvaccinated. That doesn't sound very safe.

Unvaccinated Deaths: Roughly 1 in every 296
Vaccinated Roughly: Roughly 1 in every 4,600

So we have a bunch of Dem States finally coming around on masks in schools. Way too late. It's been that way for a majority of FL and most Rep states since the school year started. I guess it's better late than never. At least they are realizing masks don't work. About damn time.

I say this tongue in cheek... that's in part because Delta was still present and the MAB's got yanked.... ;)

In all seriousness the case counts for those infected with mild disease or asymptomatic for Omicron likely miss many millions of people, thus changing that ratio dramatically. That's in part to lack of test kits, and a much milder variant causing people to not even be tested.

It is not good to get Covid.

lt is good to have natural immunity.

    Thus…

it is good to get Covid in order not to get Covid.

Anybody see any problems with this kind of thinking?

It's pretty common actually, like the flu you deal with it. Unless you have underlying conditions, elderly or just obese then you should consult with your doctor, not the whacko Fauci

When is the last time a flu killed over 100,000 in a year? Let alone 900,000 in two years? Aberration
Average flu usually takes less than 50,000 a year.

Well, you're correct 50,000 is way better than 900,0000 so let's have this discussion when covid has been around 100 years
