Seat belts work, 3 jabs not so much.

I looked at the Alberta data. And if Alberta is the reason for you to get boostered. I support your decision.

Apparently, you missed the point, it's the anti-vaxxers who are the lemmings. Here's another.

statistically 3 jabs reduce chance of death more than a seatbelt+airbags.

So now that you have looked at it, will you acknowledge that your claim about how there isn't hard data is wrong and/or that your claim that they were selecting a specific age group to push an agenda was also wrong?

Does that really matter? If youre 10Xs more likely to die unvaccinated does the strength of your immunity matter if you don’t survive? What a stupid hill to die on.

We need a Covid News thread and a Fantasy BS Covid thread. It’s hard wading through both as a reader.

    Totally agree

Mods- would it make sense to start a “Covid Controversies”thread? It can be a vehicle for various vaccine, masking and other policy debates.

I don’t care what you do. Just debating the logic youre using is faulty. Saying the strength of immunity matters when there is a 10Xs death rate getting there just isn’t good logic. Why don’t you just admit it’s a loyalty test for you and not a logic test and you’re fine with 10Xs higher death rate as long as you feel part of a specific club?

The hard data out of England with 85% of the deaths in October being fully vaccinated paints a much bigger picture. 80% in September. Maybe one day we will get December numbers. Or January.

But if Alberta is all you need. I am not going to say you are wrong. Though I would suggest using more information. Booster up my friend.

It should be noted that the age-standardized death rate in England was 938.9 per 100K for the unvaccinated and 33.6 for the vaccinated. You wouldn't be trying to get one over on people by not including age stratification or the extremely high level of vaccination in that stat, would you?

So, just to ask again, since you won't answer, were you wrong to say that there isn't data any longer, given that you are citing data (even if you are doing so incorrectly)?

Keep boostering my friend. I support your decision to do so. I do not support forcing others to make the decision you do.

Non-responsive to the data or the question that I asked. You don't seem very interested in talking about the data or in answering a basic question. It seems like you really don't want to pull off of narrative.

You are doing exactly what I have said is happening. In order to get your narrative…you post information comparing January to October. That is useless right now. The UK had less than 500K people fully vaccinated at the end of January in 2021. January 2021 has been their deadliest month.

So again…if you want to use data to creat a narrative for yourself. By all means. I will take the hard data and look at what matters. I ran the numbers and have posted them. They may not be for you. But 80% of the deaths in September were fully vaccinated in the UK and 85% in October. That trend started well before that. The concerning thing was that the trend was continuing while the vaccination rate was slowing. Which is why it would be really nice to get November and December numbers.
