Rankings are still based on team's average scores. NQS (National Qualifying Scores) Standings- Top 6 regular season meet scores, of which 3 must be away, high score is eliminated and remaining 5 are calculated- will not begin until a team has competed in at least 6 meets, of which 3 have been away. Blue indicates NCAA current highest score in 2022

If, and it’s a big if, the top 4 stay the same, or we finish fifth, it shouldn’t impact where we go much, regardless of our finish among that group.
The regionals are in Seattle, Champagne, Raleigh and Auburn. Generally the highest seed gets the first choice.
Michigan will take Champagne, Utah Seattle, that would leave us and Oklahoma for Auburn and Raleigh. It would be nice to finish in front of Oklahoma to go to Raleigh and not Auburn, but not a huge deal either way. Oklahoma might choose Auburn anyway given how much closer it is to Norman.
If we finished 5th, we would be with the 4th place team I think, so no real difference between fourth and fifth.
But it should bot be like that debacle a few years ago where we got sent out to Oregon State as the four seed and got bounced.

Things become much clearer once the NQS standing begin. Remember, highest and lowest scores are eliminated...

Mizzou was 11th coming into the meet. No, they are not a "bad" team. At Mizzou deserved to be treated as a big meet.

That's so ridiculous! In college gymnastics, wins and losses do not matter. You can go 0-10 but have the best NQS and be at the top of the standings. So if we had our best gymnasts in each event, Missouri would've still scored the same 197.650.

Their lowest total is their first meet, where they scored 197.75. :emoji_astonished:
