Better class with higher numbers. We don't crack the top 5 until there is a marketable structure and revenue stream for NIL.

Lets see here...what was Mullen's second class ranked? My guess is within a spot or two of that in either direction.

His second class was ranked 9th, but, that's the class that was marred by non-qualifiers, a bad actor, a homesick California kid, and, a visa problem. This is the class that probably cost him his job after they became front-line contributors this year. But, having said that, I predict you are correct and also that the success of the class will be better under Napier.

Someone pointed out to him on Twitter that UF had two jets they use for recruiting, and I’m sure the cane posters are trying to wrap their head around that concept.

Well, in that case I predict a class sitting anywhere from 12 - 15, with the part of your post that I bolded coming true.

Mullen classes were littered with non-qualifiers the first few years. Signed kids that other programs knew would not qualify. Remember the WR OU dropped due to grades that committed to us at an all star game without ever having visited? That is called a saving face and improving class rank move. Hammond is finally enrolling at FIU after being a non-qualifier and going JUCO. The WR from Ocala that transferred to Ft Lauderdale and back to Ocala that everyone knew did not have the grades. You could go back and identify many of these type kids that other programs were not even recruiting. All inflated Mullen recruiting success. He had a few (at least 3) enroll in Spring and never even make it till Fall semester.

Let’s hope we are even 6-9 on cash as cash will determine exactly where we end up. Every other school with aspirations of competing will up their nil cash next year. It takes time to get the machine organized and running. I have no doubt that Napier demanded such when he met with Stricklin. Napier is doing everything he can but it remains to be seen what he will have to work with.

He is one of the recruits I thought about when the article about the staffers on Mullen's staff came out. When they talked about doing things to fluff numbers like taking risky commits or someone who wasnt in the picture but committed without a visit. It's why it seemed to have some veracity even though it was from "anonymous" staff.

bro, I mentioned this in passing on here about a year or so ago in speaking about Leonard but like how and why do these kids have aspirations of going to college to play ball and been working your whole middle and high school years training and get an offer for a full ride but dont put in even a fraction of that in the classroom? Throwing a whole ass D1 full ride scholly away because you dont turn in your school work or even go to class? Like why?!?!??!

ome just don’t belong in a classroom and it’s sad there’s no other way to get properly developed but schools make it as easy as they can.

Just outside of the top five but a more thoroughly scouted class than any of the teams ranked one through five.
