I would feel more comfortable/confident with making her our permanent/long term Head Coach if the Athletic Director invest and give obviously needed resources that the coaches and program needs. Today was the largest attendance for a Gators WBB game since Tennessee in 1999 it was reported. The team played harder today, perhaps due to playing #1 team and/or the huge crowd attendance.
Also meant to mention I would feel better about making Coach Finley the HC if she is surrounded by a better staff/assistants who are program builders, vision sellers, great recruiters. I truly believe Kelly Rae Finley can elevate this team and make this program a consistent threat, if what I mentioned happens. I would like to know y'all opinion ? Please share, Go Gators!!!!
I believe she is a leader who can motivate the players to do more than the player might think they can. I also believe ADSS has made up is mind to appont herI do not know who on her staff would want to stay I know the former WNBA coach is likely to get a better gig. Talking to parents they seem happy with the way their girls are beig coached/treated.
Totally agree with the thought but the stat is way wrong, e.g. here is one from early in Amanda's tenure (2008-09) when the program was trending up-
I totally forgot about that one, I guess they made an honest mistake, but if she can get a great supporting staff with homerun recruiters LOOK OUT!!! If this team continues to exceed expectations this season Coach Finley and assistants needs great salesman to get elite and good players continue to come in, I would love to see what she does with a stabled team/players with overall better talent!
I doubt she would shake the staff up. She has worked with Julian before Florida and just hired Julie.
Pleased with the performance today. Love what this coach is able to get out of this team. Hope they get to make the Tournament this year. Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
As long as she knows that she is under serious consideration to get the job... then I guess it's okay for now. But this coach is a very talented and smart person... she's a keeper, IMHO. And I would hate to lose her... especially to a rival.
I’ve said this before. She will be a Head Coach somewhere next year. We need to make sure it is in Gainesville.
It better be in Gainesville... If not it will be the biggest blunder in SS's career next to his last hire. And you better believe that her agent's phone is ringing off the hook.
This is the best feel good Gator story this year... so far. I love these young women and their tenacity.

I am of the mind frame that she needs to get 8 wins in conference... that being said it is hard to see her NOT getting to that mark now. She only needs two. The next 3 games are on the road, so the timing for max publicity may just be now. The win over Tennessee is being talked about on social media and even on other message boards. Today might not be a bad time to take advantage of the free publicity.
