I can't make anything like an informed prediction at this point, due to myriad factors and far too many unknowns. But my wild-assed guess is something between 12-7.
I don't see us cracking the top 5. It seems that 40-50% of the top players sign with the same 5-6 schools. Those are the schools that will do whatever it takes to sign a player. We are not in this group. We want to be but I believe it takes more than having an army of recruiters. That leaves 50-60% of the top players to be divided up b/w 20-35 schools. We'll get 3-4 Wilson's every cycle, but we need 7-10 Wilson's to crack the top 5.
I’d say 10 but it’ll be as good as we pay for. That’s the elephant in the room, where are we going to be financially.
Question Bobby - do you attach any significance to CBN specifically saying a 4.5 hour radius from Gainesville instead of 5 hour? Has he just not looked at how long this state is? Why cut it off north of Miami?
Someone tell that person that flying in a jet for 4.5 hours takes you to several states. Who the hail is driving in a car that long to recruit? 4.5 hours in a jet obviously covers all of Florida and then some... in a jet... or in a helicopter.
