I was trying to get home home to watch the game but got caught in miserable freezing rain- sleet- here in New York. I finally got home, turned the game on...80-59!! Wow! It's really only our 5th win in history over the Vols? I'm watching the game replay now.

Just got in from girls lacrosse coaching, went to check the score, thinking to myself: "Please, don't have us losing by 27. Don't have us losing by 27." WOW!
I am a regular attendee at the men's basketball game but I do have women's season tickets. I was in attendance this evening and the crowd was decent in comparison to prior years. This is the third women's game I have witnessed in person this season and in all honesty the improvement registered by Kelly Rae Finley and her staff is incredible. This team is so much better than they were at the beginning of the season. This is something, even with the injuries incurred, that I could not say about the men's team. At this point our AD needs to do the obvious and wipe out the interim in front of Kelly's name and make her the legitimate head coach. Can she recruit? We will see but one thing is certain, having the interim in front of her name is not helping her recruiting efforts. I have listened to this young head coach talk in front of a crowd and I can tell you she is the real deal. She is the epitome of a modern day womans coach. Come on what more does the UAA need, sign her up to a long term deal!
Just got back from the O'Dme,hung out to chat with the staff and a few players. They are enjoyng having fans in the stands for a change, I believe it is making a difference in energy and confidence, Kelly is pumped Kiki is drained (palyed 37 minutes) (kept up a running text session with her mom in the second half) she and Nina (30 minutes) were drained by the time the final buzzer went off. The team has progressed every game and the last 3 or 4 have been significant improvements. What I think is most important is that they have gotten in a rythmn and have a sense of where their teammate will be so it cuts down on errant passes and improves the chance for a back door layup or a wide open trey. The next most important thing is confidence, they now KNOW they compete with the best and win, South Carolina does not want to see this team in the SEC tournament Women's Basketball vs #7 Tennessee on 2/3/2022 - Box Score - Florida Gators Play UGA on Sunday at Athens should be a good test I know they are going to need to some rest after this big win GoGators!
