The only thing I wonder is if those 2 lame duck coaches that were sent bad mouth coach Napier and the n coming staff any or talk bad about the University. You know saying stuff like "if it were us we would keep em but the new coach has different Plans "

As a former HS counselor...kids complete needed credits virtually and can graduate early..had early grads every year...many do dual enrollment as well to get college credits

I can understand this but it also seems to reflect a cavalier attitude toward the high school education - which really suggests an even more cavalier attitude toward the college education. Meanwhile < 1% of these kids end up in the league. I don’t know if HS Guidance encourages this or not, but it doesn’t sound good to me

Not all of us wanted to be engineers. I was a skater. Also, there was no way to graduate early back in the dark ages.....

I hope he performs to the five star standard for you. I am wary of star ratings.

Nope, I had to go to seven classes just to get that English credit so I could go to college and take most of the same classes again and pay for it. We do have a strange education system at times.

No..we didn't encourage it..parents did.and many kids now days don't want to stay in school..in FL their dual enrollment courses are paid for along with books, so that is incentive too. I encouraged my students to stay..take challenging courses, enjoy the high school experience...many times parents agree with me..but their kids pressure them and they end up giving in and the kid graduates early..when I first started as a counselor..you might have one or 2 graduate early..when I retired 2 yeas ago...our school probably had 20 or more...these kids are in a big hurry to get to college, to get to work..we even had early admits..some kid, seriously took AP Calculus online, and scored a 5 on his AP test..he was an 8th grader..more and more kids take 3 or 4 classes t school and the rest online or thru dual enrollment if they qualify

I get where your coming from but if either of my last two at home graduate early and get into an engineering program so they can get an early start on their future, I’ll be ecstatic.

Sure..but sometimes these early grads didn't get into the university they wanted...I only had 1 of my early grads get into UF..but she took a lot of challenging classes both at school and online..she was involved in many extra curricular activities was artistic and mature for her age...had a high GPA and test scores

There was no way I could have taken extra classes to graduate early. I was too busy working a full time job my senior year. 7-3 in school, 4-12 working at a styrofoam plant.

My fiancé’s kid is graduating from UWF with an engineering degree this semester. It’s not UF but we can’t afford that shit anyway. I’m not picky about schools so much as just heading in the right direction. He will get there.

These online classes tgat pass as credits to graduate are a joke. Two of my kids did Florida virtual for a year. They don’t learn much except for how to do multiple choice for two hours a day.

That is great...just that many of these kids that graduated early in spite of us and admission people telling them that they may hurt their chances of getting into the university they want..were upset when they didn't
