Team is so gritty....they just keep trying and we should appreciate the effort. I know this is a team that has deficiencies but they don't care they keep the heart and effort.
Agreed. If Appleby hadn’t picked up his second foul early in the first half the work Jones put in with all those made 3’s in the first half would have likely built a bigger halftime lead.

Not by a certain poster who was encouraged to leave the thread due to constant negativity in a game the kids were sill in, played hard and won. Just so everyone knows why he won't be here (even though I've never seen it) to eat crow.
I said Appleby would have to get at least 10 second half, glad he did not listen. He is turning into a very good player. He has come along way.
Unfortunately too many choose one side or the other. Can’t give credit for wins or defend to the death with inexcusable losses. Should be given credit for saving this one, just as he should be accountable for failures. That Cuonzo Martin out of bounds final play certainly should make people feel happy we don’t have him.
It won't show up in the contest thread about MVG, but Gatkek was a real difference maker with his rim protection. Without that we lose.

Sling dropped the broadcast again late in the game so I had to hustle to find Mick and Lee on the radio. I listened to the last 17 seconds. Ballsy finish by Gatkek and Appleby. Gators aren't dead yet! One of the TV guys said CC is "getting better." I would certainly hope so. But he didn't offer a guess as to when he might be back. If we can hold serve these next games at home to get to 16-8, and then maybe get Colin back, we might just get things going. Several players have stepped up and played their best ball in his absence.
