I'm guessing you haven't followed recruiting for very long. I don't mean that as an insult. So many times over the past several years, we were thought to be the trending team.

One of the unwritten truths about recruiting these days is that a whole lot of it is driven by the media and recruiting services to try to generate traffic/viewership. I personally believe they have the players lead on the schools and even put out misinformation. They want everybody watching the announcement thinking their school has a shot. In some cases they don't even want family members to know.

I’ve only been following Gator recruiting since the 70’s but maybe you’ve been following longer, but I already know the other stuff you posted so what are you trying to tell me?

 

The LSU people believes that they have a slight lead for Jacoby Mathews, however they also believes the fact that Corey Raymond being in Gainesville can't be discounted.

 

It seems that ‘reading comprehension’ is now replaced by ‘triggered’ LOL

 

Meh... It's a transition class so just assume we don't get any big names tomorrow. If we do, outstanding... If we get some hard works to fill some gaps, then we are where we are to be expected this year.

However... Regardless of tomorrow, if anyone here cannot see the huge upswing in recruiting already, then you should find a new team. Clearly this staff will be Rockstar with recruits give an actual season and time on the job and recruiting trail building relationships.

Maybe, but the fact that he pretty much already re-committed to LSU can’t be discounted either. We will see tomorrow.

 

Yep probably going to be a common thing that goes against us tomorrow. Hopefully we keep Farmer and can still get Boardingham and Douglas.

I mean the biggest takeaways from this late push is the effort, organization and focus this new staff has shown. I'll admit I was blinded by Mullen's instant fix of our offense after so many wasted seasons that I ignored the other aspects of the program. Well, that and the fact I thought he was honest when he talked about understanding the gator standard and expectations. I'll take a lackluster day tomorrow given what we have going forward as an organization overall.

 

Wow! I can now see why you probably feel like you're under attack from a lot of angles here, but I wasn't trying to attack you. I said my comment wasn't meant as an insult. I was just trying to say you shouldn't get too wrapped up in what's "trending". Pretty much the same thing BobbyBaker86 said in terms of unless you see crystal balls the rest of what you hear doesn't mean a whole lot one way or another.

 

When or were did Mathews made public the re-commitment that you are talking about?
