What a huge play that was to hit a big 3 after Jones was really struggling. Then hit some big ft's at the end of the game. Career 78% ft shooter fairly consistently over 3 years and was shooting 62% coming into the game. The slump really started to effect even his ft%. Went 5-6 upping his ft% to 64%. Seen him play at PSU at a high level. Gators really have to hope this gets him going.

Nice win. Showed some real heart. Hats off to White and the boys!

 

Got to give these kids credit. Severely depleted roster, but very scrappy. Good win For MW and the Gators.

 

Maybe being more aggressive with the lineup, CMW calling he players "soft" at halftime, & this “Sometimes, honestly, you hate to admit it as a coach, but, sometimes, you are trying to tick a guy off or two” is an indication that he's changing his attitude to be a more aggressive coach. I'd rather that he figure things out & remain our coach by winning, so I hope this is what's happening.

 

Making those FT is huge! IMO- this is the best tell of how much a team wants to win.
For some reason, we didn't care that much vs LSU and our FT shooting sucked.
We went 11-22 and that doesn't count the 2nd FT we couldn't take because we missed the front ends of the 1 and 1.
And it wasn't the big men- it was our guards and forwards who went 6 for 16. That's just criminal.

But this game was the opposite- we got the calls and made the FTs and it was the key to the comeback.
Not only did we shoot 80%m, our guards went 27 for 31!

And that matched our overall hustle and grit we saw in the 2nd half.

i just hope we can how similar heart vs Mizzou.
