Well, we are done like dinner.

 

OSU runs 4 guards. And most of their shots are open. Because of things like Jones running under a screen when he is guarding their best 3-point shooter.

Sorry, major college basketball is a bit old for participation trophies (and I have no problem with the notion for young kids). I didn't say anything unfair, just pointed out that a guy who has killed us defensively at times this year did it again.

 

We have no choice honestly unless we go full 90s and start taking long 2s

 

I would think OSU has to revert to the mean from outside in the 2nd half. Don't know how much that would help but it would be nice to see.

 

Right before tip off I noticed that Florida was favored by 3 and with our injuries I couldn’t believe that point spread.

 

Well the guy at halftime just politely said that MW can't coach. Ouch.

 

Unfortunately, I think we are looking up at mediocre.

 

But he's trying hard, which is the minimum expectation for an 8u player, but apparently is impressive to some for P5 D1 player.

Jones isn't responsible for guarding every shooter that scored. Okie State is going inside-out and the kids are trying to double inside without a big. Guard the perimeter and they post-up one of the guards. Our kids are pretty obviously under-coached and put in bad positions . . . but trying their best so they shouldn't be constantly called out or bashed. Just my opinion.
