I didn’t like not having more bigs, injuries happen in an very athletic league which brought us Sir Charles Barkley. UF has not been injury free any season, so here we go without a true post. Go Gators! Get well Colin And Jason, hope you both can play again, whenever!

He did get minutes and was terrible in them. Bad defense, instant fouls, poor conditioning. It was quite apparent from watching him play. Are you really suggesting that losing 50 lbs didn't make a huge difference?

I don’t know that he lost 50 pounds. However, he was able to run up and down the floor in high school, and I am pretty sure that he was the same size in his first year at Florida. As for his first 2 years at UF, JJ played in 33 of the teams 56 games and averaged something like 5 minutes of playing time per game. That sporadic playing time was not going to get him into shape or into the rhythm of the game. That is not how you develop players, and it has been a constant at Florida in the Mike White era.
