Strictly speaking for myself, I’ve seen enough.Wining is important but there are other elements that she brings to the table as well. She checks all the boxes I want representing our school and if I had a daughter she is the kind of coach I would want her to play for. Removing the interim tag now would give the team a lift that might make a difference in a game or two, and help with recruiting as well. As I said, strictly speaking for myself.

I definitely understand the thought. The other things are important, and as I said I am rooting for her. Winning is definitely a big part of the equation too. I definitely want someone who brings all the other positives, plus winning to the table. I just don't see the benefit right now in naming her. She has the inside track, but keeping open other possibilities in case the season turns downward over this rough stretch of games just seems most prudent to me. Next year's class is pretty much already a done deal with virtually everyone signed. Recruiting is probably more about the portal at this point. As long as we know prior to the end of the season we should be okay recruiting there. I also kind of see it as a momentum thing in a different order. Name her now and end up going 0 and 9 or 1-8 with a big name interested in the job and it doesn't look as good, IMO. For the record I would pick us to go more like 4-5 or 3-6 and make the NCAA... these wins are providing energy and momentum on their own. I'd name her just after the regular season and just before the tournaments to get a little extra buzz to the story.

On a side recruiting note... Miss State became much more winnable as Rickea Jackson entered the portal. Was their best player and one of the best in the SEC. No idea if we can get in on her, but any school is going to be lucky to have her next season, though I believe she only has one season left.

Yeah, we'll have to win it on the strength of guard play, but Faith Dut's continued improvement has allowed us to compete against the teams with top-level interior play. I couldn't say that last year or even early this season, but we've gotten better inside the last few weeks. I don't want to overlook Floor Toonder's improvement either. She's not going to be at the same level athletically, but her improvement has come through consistency and team ball. Experience matters.
That said, we could play our best against SC and still lose by 20. That program is at an elite level. We need a combination of us playing our best and them having an off day and overlooking us for a half.
If we DO pull off the upset, the game film better be emailed to all the top high-schoolers by 4 PM.

We are going to need to be red hot behind the arc. It's not impossible, but definitely a daunting task.

Khayla Pointer became the first LSU player with 1,5000 points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists in a career Thursday night, but the milestone was overshadowed by the worst loss of Kim Mulkey's tenure thus far.
The No. 12 LSU women's basketball team lost 90-76 as Arkansas sank 13 shots from beyond the arc. LSU trailed by double-digits at halftime, and Arkansas stretched its lead past 20 points at one point in the second half. The Tigers need to get back on track after losing two straight.
