Illinois is still 20% Delta, which not having the treatments will for sure kill people. Great job everyone.

If only there were treatments effective against both delta and omicron when administered early. Wait… there are? Ok. So why are you arguing to use the one that only works on the smaller subset of cases?

Try taking politics out of it.

Sure get them to all the treatment centers all over the country. Is there enough there to treat everyone? If not why?

That is a choice, not an inevitability.

So what is the criteria used by a doctor to evaluate the appropriateness of a treatment with 80% failure rate?

As of now there isn't a choice. The FDA took that choice away. Great job.

Wrong again q. You keep making data free arguments and it's leading you to bad inferences.

assune they hadn’t. How is a doctor to evaluate when to use a treatment with an 80%+ failure rate?

    No...

We can see the data. It is illogical to force someone to wear a mask based on vaccination status.

You either are ignorant/stupid or you are purposefully trying to coerce people to do something they do not want to do. Both illogical.

The best large semi control group we have is not hard to understand...

Israel: the latest coronavirus counts, charts and maps (reuters.com)

They are exclusively the wonderful one and only fda approved "vaccine" we have in this country. Omicron don't care!

    It should be noted that:

    1. The updated Illinois numbers are at 15% delta.

    2. The most updated national numbers are well over 90% Omicron. He is using Illinois to intentionally mislead people into thinking Delta is still more common than it is in newly infected cases (Illinois was chosen because it's delta numbers are higher, not at random).

    This article says 99% omicron.

The FDA limits the use of some monoclonal antibodies treatments

As to Illinois, do we know that the treatments are not available there?

Give it to everyone who is at risk. Don't give it to the 16 year old girl who's at the hospital with a broken leg who happens to test positive. Give it to a 50 year old person who's recovered from cancer. Order more of the medicine. Simple as that. And please don't bring up the cost. We haven't worried about costs with anything we've done that concerns covid. Why start now?

Why this particular treatment instead of sotrovimab, Paxlovid, or remdesivir (what has been the go-to for inpatients at hospitals anyway, AND works against omicron, so no worries about waiting on lab analysis to get back genetic id for the strain of virus).

Is there one? Other than Governor Ron-Ron’s hissy fit? Im not even sure why he was pissy. He can still do his press conferences at a sotrovimab clinic, or at a remdesivir outpatients clinic (since supposedly it will be getting approved for outpatients). Again, the political stance makes no sense, other than to stir shit up.

Except for saving lives? Yeah, I don't know why Ron-Ron would care about that. You guys all think he's trying to kill people, so this must be quite the conundrum for you fellas.

This is nonsense of course. His histrionics have absolutely nothing to do with “saving lines”, otherwise he would be clamoring for greater supply of sotrovimab and the new Pfizer pill (enough supply to do it prophylactically with ease). THAT would be his fight, instead of arguing for the one treatment rendered 0% effective against the main variant now going around. Pop quiz: How many lives are saved by an efficacy of 0%?

Yep, that is what the models show for their expectations for today. Even if you want to look back 2 weeks to when we have concrete data though, it is well over 90%.

It's not zero. You keep dealing in what/if's I'll follow the Gov who was first to bring Monoclonal treatments to states.

I would say at risk and do not know the variant in a community that does not have a 99% omicron. But that is basically what you are saying. The tunnel vision crowd ironically cannot see straight!

Did he? I thought the FDA approves for all 50 states. Meaning it was “brought to” all states at the exact same time.

If you mean a Governor that liked to hold political press conferences touting a treatment while downplaying an effective vaccine? You are correct. States w/low vaccination rates tended to overuse mAb’s, and hog the national supply, and FL was one of those. But with 0% efficacy he now needs to move on. Can’t get hung up on only 1 option. Even for anti-vaxxers, There is still an effective mAb, there is a pill, and there is remdesivir. Options.
