2022 NCAA Tournament Outlook

Today's win raised us to #30 in Kenpom.

 

It's time for us to hold serve at home.

 

And probably where we should be. Not quite on the bubble but not far from it.

The game that hurt us most is not the Texas Southern game. We played very badly in that, but it was only one game. The game that really hurt us was the Oklahoma game. OK has a really smart coach and he figured out how to play offense against us as a team that looked great at D. Other coaches picked up on it.

NIT or bust! If Castleton returns, the Gators have a chance of making the dance. If he doesn’t, it’s NIT. You can’t lose at home to Texas Southern and expect miracles, especially without the only player that can score consistently.

 

We aren’t making the NCAA tournament. No way. We’ve already lost 7 games and to Texas Southern by 15 at home. NIT this year. Hopefully a new Coach next season. Fingers crossed.

 

I agree, it will be very tough for UF to finish .500 in league play.
Anything under that spells NIT IMO.

I always preach patience, but Mike White has had plenty of time. At the end of the day, basketball is all about putting the ball in the hole. Our teams under Coach White couldn't shoot the ball into a swimming pool. I'm tired of reading about how the anchor is defense, it gives the team time to get its offense going ,the offense will come, yada yada. Time to start inquiring about a new coach, and I don't want another young and upping social experiment this time.

As terrible as the bottom 3rd of the conference is, 9-9 with a bunch of wins over Georgia, Vandy, SC isn't going to cut it. With last night's loss we are going to HAVE to beat Tennessee, Auburn or Kentucky AND not lose to UGA, Vandy or Ole Miss going forward. Arkansas and TAMU are virtually must wins too now.

 

You spell it out 5 - Backs in a corner, no 3 point shooting, no guard play. NIT writing is on the wall.
