Leading score Jarkell Joyner is out six weeks and would be a big reason why they got blown out by the rival Mississippi State today. He’s arguably is as important as Castleton is to us if not more so.
Not following this part of your post: "Maybe you wanna do this but I did not" Did you mean to put "hear" in there?
Was he injured during today's game? I liked Ole Miss over 61.5 in that one and really liked it when they scored 41 pts in the first half. Just needed 21 in the 2nd and they scored 19.
No, was injured before the game sometime last week and is out six weeks. The first time they played Mississippi State with him in the lineup they won by 10. Today without him in the lineup they were blown out by 18
I am sure that MSU and Vandy fans were happy to hear that CC was hurt and would not play. Often the other guys raise up their games. That being said even with him Ole Miss wasn't that good. Frack. I now jinxed us.
Lurk, I expect a major effort from Ole Miss at home tomorrow. Seeing as they’ve lost four in a row I believe and Backs are against the wall. That being said I think this is a major test and with an experienced/older lineup I would really hope for A solid performance from our guys. I see a defensive struggle where know when she was particularly well and hopefully we gut out a four or five point victory.
Yep .. the other team loses an important player and we are about to play them.. we get happy then get our ass handed to us. You know better Lurk.
Definitely a big game for us. Wednesday will be a really tough game. Makes this game that much more important. No gimmes, but this is a game we should win.
Well, on que CMW,s team digs out of a hole, the concern being the holes get deeper and earlier in the season, not a particularly happy trait. But, in the SEC, several teams seem to be bunching toward the middle. With the new lineup looks and hope CC will be back soon, are these Gators able to work themselves into a Winning SEC record? I would think a final SEC slate with anything on the plus side of .500 puts UF awful close to an invitation to dance.
That table above illustrates an observation I made a while back. When we are winning and then lose the next game - it's always after a somewhat lopsided victory. As if we become over-confident. Oklahoma, Maryland, Alabama, and Ole Miss losses were all after we won big the previous game.
Not really part of my observation - but since you asked. There were 3 of those. The Texas Southern is unexplanable. I'm sure Alabama today is asking why they lost last night to the one team in the conference that was without a conference win going back 8 games. The other 2.....one was to the team that is #1 in the nation right now. The other to a team that was #1 in the conference for a good part of the season. We should have won that one too just like our football team should have beaten LSU the last 2 years in a row - but didn't. Anyway - I just thought it was worth noting about the 4 losses we had after those 4 big wins and what looked to me like some kind of trend. Last night's games showed how competitive this conference is. Mizzou came close to beating Auburn as did MS State vs. Kentucky. Then there was Bama who did lose and are scratching their heads right now wondering what happened to the team they started off with. As a fan, I hate losing as much as anyone. I just don't go nuts when it happens. There's always going to be games a team doesn't win and seasons that don't produce a Final Four result. But we never give up and that's the important thing. Our team plays hard and I appreciate that. This is a very competitive conference. Every freaking game is a war! GO Gators!
