If landing a different opportunity at some other school is so important to him and he feels the clock is running out, why does he give a F what some idiot fans on twitter think if he re-enters to chase his dream. Sounds way too concerned with the twittersphere. Do what you think is best for you young man. Forget what others think.
This country is huge and diverse. I don't know if harsin doesn't like the heat of the SEC oven or the culture/climate of the South but I'd rather stay away from people/recruits from the west. I have spent time in the North West, the mid west, South West and Florida over the years. Each one was a culture shock and while I adjusted eventually it isn't easy especially if you are a kid or a coach with options elsewhere at all times.
If intentional. Hopefully somebody just made mistake or misunderstood a direction. Those can be addressed
No question he belongs on the outside. With Ventrell coming back that's exactly what should happen. Noticed Diwun is moving to ILB so even more reaon for Hopper to be outside
Ok cool deal. Just making sure. We gotta rep up here in the ATL more than ever now that the poodles won something.
I wouldn't lump Kemore in with this because Peagler is a TE coach. He only filled in as a rb coach for a year, and BTW, got accolades for his work there. Bateman is an interesting situation because he had a great defense at Army and then UNC didn't work out. He has an extensive background in coaching and has been a LB coach and a finalist for the Broyles award. He and Peterson sounds like guys you could learn a lot from, at least a lot more than C-Rob had to offer.
I’m so confused by this whole thing. Does he want to be here? Happy here? He’s only staying because of the flack he got on social media? not trying to prod, that first post about it went in two different directions
Seems like we ought to give Hop some space and move on. We're just stirring up stuff. He's a Gator, and a good one.
I’m honestly so confused. It makes no sense to me that he entered the portal to look at other opportunities, but because someone withdrew his name without his consent, he no longer wants to do so. To me, it seems like he would now go out of his way to find a new school because why would you want to be at a place where they’re essentially forcing you to stay? I just can’t grasp how complacent he and his family are if someone in our compliance office would do something like that and it seems like a bigger reason to leave tbh, regardless of what people on Twitter say about him.
Could be he just figured once he got pulled from the portal maybe he made a hasty decision that's not necessary at the moment. Especially if the transfer and enrollment won't take place until summer. Might as well test drive the new staff then portal out in May. Could also be he realized all of the above and wanted his name out so he could stay on schollie and finish spring semester without a hassle, and the removal from the portal wasn't completely without his input. Might feel he need to save some face in the whole deal. Either way, he's with the team now so hopefully it works out the best way it needs to for him.
To be fair William pigler's 1st position he coached was tightened and in fact last year was the 1st year he coached running backs and was nominated or won the running back coach of the year
Not sure what you are looking for? Roswell laid it out pretty well. Not every decision by a college kid (or anyone for that matter makes sense). Right now it appears that Hopper has chosen to stay and I'm pretty excited about that.
I would never begrudge a kid for doing what he or his family feels is best. Having said that, if someone pulled my kids name out of the portal without permission, I would be livid and want it dealt with immediately!
