The car wreck was just the last straw of a career that was quickly coming to a close because of nagging injuries. Parsons was struggling to find playing time on any roster in the last couple seasons that he played.
Parsons will always be one of my favorites. He came in as an afterthought to Calathes and got better every year he played. He was still getting better his first year in the NBA. I hope he keeps getting better from the car accident and wish him all the best.
He cleared over 150mil in guaranteed money in his career. Shitty end to the backside of his NBA time, but good for him.
I bet they love to include his salary in the calculation of what someone from UF with that degree makes after graduating!
