Yeah going for the short term payday and falling for Sanders' BS reveals a lot about a person's intelligence and character.

“Couch earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Georgia Southern, where he worked on Fritz's staff in 2014. He was also a part of the Georgia Southern staff that went into the Swamp and upset Florida in 2013.”

He’s just not a good coach. They got waxed in their bowl game, and he had all that talent from transfers and recruiting.

In 1992 when Spurs coined the term, Louisiana was a D1-A Independent and they were known as the University of Southwestern Louisiana.

Best case scenario is he fails as a coach with all that talent. Worst case he does well and goes to fsu in a few years.

I have known Deion since grade school. He has always been an exceptional athlete. Our Pop Warner team won the “national championship”. The offense was give the ball to Deion and let him run around in the backfield until he saw a crease. He was really small in those days, but incredibly fast and elusive. He went to North Fort Myers instead of Fort Myers High because they allowed Freshmen to play on varsity and Fort Myers didn’t.

He has always been very concerned about Deion. No way he is a great coach, but he is a salesman. His number one priority will always be to make himself look good. I can absolutely see him getting an immense amount of satisfaction “stealing” recruits from schools that would never consider hiring him.

Will be interesting to see if he has anymore lined up or not. And where he is in a year or two.

I expect Deion to steal a recruit from us and make a spectacle of it. No way he burns fsu and Miami while letting Florida go unscathed. Completing a trifecta against the big 3 would be huge for his agenda.

I definitely think he will try. Getting at least one from all three schools would be a coup for him.

Richard Fain also went to North, and was a friend of Deion. Richard was a great guy, and a great gator. Funny thing is if it wasn’t for the sanctions after Pell I’m sure Deion would have gone to Florida. Of course that is true for a lot the guys who made FSU and Miami great in the coming years.

Eh...if he goes to fsu with some coaching success that's a bad deal for us. I'm betting he is as reported...a crappy coach.

Wasn't it Fain who jokingly referred to Deion as "Part Time" since he avoided tackling?

I feel like I'm in an alternate universe with Gator recruiters behind every door. It's enough to make the head spin.

i will admit, i was born in '85, so i didn't experience the deion fsu years. but as i got older and noticed who he was, he quickly became one of my favorite players (also didn't hurt that im a dallas cowboys fans...).

but some of yall are acting like deion is some loser who has lucked into any success he's ever had, when in actuality it's the opposite. this guy has been a proven winner everywhere. top 5 player of all time, successful businessman, successful tv personality, successful youth football organization builder, successful high school football coach, now a successful college (swac) coach.

i get it that he comes from a rival, so we shouldn't be heaping praise on him lol. but some of yall are acting like he's not a proven winner who has been successful in dam near everything he partakes in.
