Must be those incredibly fit octogenarians in Alberta, and equally slovenly twenty-somethings that is the reason the elderly have a lower hospital rate than the younger generation. o_O Vaccine, I'm sure, has nothing to do with it!

Except that it does, but not at 100%. This is why case rates are 5x lower for vaccinated vs unvaccinated.

In other words, it's not all or nothing.

That had been the case with latest variant. But Vaccine gives you a better chance of avoiding more serious Covid infection. feedback from health care workers it’s the unvaxed that make up majority of those admitted/icu for Covid.

Can fully vaccinated people spread the omicron variant to others? What the CDC says

What many of you seem to be unable to cope with is the situation has evolved both in terms of what is known and not known, and to an extent what is true with one variant may not be as true with another variant. Then on top of that you assert these made up narratives as fact, such as "they said the vaccine would be more effective blah blah blah" which is just not true. Plus how would somebody be able to predict how a vaccine performs against a variant which wasn't even known at the time?

On balance, the vaccine was far more effective against infection against the original disease than expected, and long term protection had held up against all of the variants better than most would have expected. All the whining about vaccines waning efficacy against infection is nothing more than ignorance about how vaccines work.

These vaccines have been far more effective than what you typically see with flu vaccines, which is the most applicable comparison.

They can cope with it. it is much different and much uglier. Like i keep saying, it is a waste of time to argue with them.

You cannot argue with people who look at data and then repeat the same lies.

You can post data showing that exponentially fewer vaccinated people spread the virus than the unvaccinated and, when they do, it is lower viral loads, and they will ignore it and lie.

It is like the election was stolen lie, the 1-6 insurrection lies, or the climate change lies. Or any of the myriad of lies.

They don't care if the virus spreads and sickens or kills people. And they will project their agendas on you. Like the virus was a hoax. The virus was to make Trump looks bad.

Because it is their agenda. there is no sense in trying to reason with them or convince them. You can't.

It is an alternative facts universe.

They post thy nonsense a few posts after this was posted. See my next post

I meant as far as there being consequences to having Covid positive, symptomatic staff, which was needed because they fired unvaxxed workers.

Like I've said, it's beneficial, folks should get it, but this is a flu shot.

It would be cute if there were any shred of truth to it.

For those who live in a false reality, it is better to post a false meme than address what is happening in the real world; like the study posted by @ncargat1 tonight.

No science supports that meme. It is a lie.
