    Would lane transferring be a bad thing?

    Did not have the stomach to watch this train wreck continue so I watched some NCIS reruns.

    I got my Masters in Civil Engineering from UF and I waste some time here each day. The work is all done by my assistants and analysts.

    I know that because it did not happen under Foley. The majority of players that came to play for Donovan wanted to play for Florida out of HS. They knew coming in about the rivalries we have with Georgia, FSU, Tennessee, Miami, et al. White has become a mercenary recruiter. People who come to Florida not to win, but to better their educational opportunities (save Castleton who was at Michigan which right now is a toss-up compared to Florida academically).

    Playing rivals under Billy Donovan was one of the reasons recruits committed to the program. To beat our rivals and not root for them when they play other teams. Alabama is an adversary, not a rival. The fact that I am even explaining this to you raises serious questions as to your stature.

    That is why if you ask 95% of Gator fans whom they wanted to win on Monday, they would have said the Tide. YOU DON'T EVER ROOT FOR YOUR RIVAL UNLESS IT IS GOING TO MAKE THE SEC LOOK GOOD. The fact that Fleming didn't know this - basic loyalty 101- is symptomatic of the endemic of failure which has become commonplace across our sports programs under this charlatan from Mississippi State. If you don't realize how shaky his position is as AD at our University, you have been buried in a time capsule.

    11 of 22.....including 0-2 from McKissick near the end of the game (2:29 left) when the game was on the line (60-56) - just like in the Auburn game.

    McKissick also 1-7 and 1-8 on 3 PT and FG, respectively.

    Earlier in the game with 4:06 left and the score was 56-53, Myron Jones missed 2 of 3 as well. Another lost opportunity to close the deficit to a single score.

    Meanwhile LSU were 7 of 11 for the entire game.

    =======================

    I caught the end of the Lady Gator's game this afternoon with Auburn.

    They went 20 of 23 FT's.

    Including making every single one in the last quarter of the game.

    Final score: 68-63 Lady Gators

    Perhaps our Men could learn a little something from our Women regarding shooting free throws.....

    And I don't mean to single McKissick out - or bag on him. I love the guy. Animal!

    But FT's are a real pet peeve of mine - and I was watching him closely at the line when he missed both of those - and to me, it didn't even look like he was focusing on making them that much. That was very disappointing for me.....

    Any Athletic Director worth his or her weight in salt would make it a point to meet every commitment from every sports program at the University. During that meeting, or through staff delegated with the responsibility, the culture of Florida sports must be inculcated into the student-athlete. Informing them whether they are from California and loved UCLA or Texas and loved A&M growing up, that their love for those teams ends with their ink on the LOI, is indispensable to establishing and maintaining a tradition that is no more evident than in "We Are the Boys of Old Florida" perhaps you should learn the lyrics.
