I know Will Wade cheats like hell but his roster is a much better roster than ours - more athletic, bigger, stronger. Did we recruit Days? Anyone know the story? I think he grew up in Williston and went to The Rock before transferring to IMG. I just wasn’t sure of the back story. We are missing guys like Days on this team.
Ollie - Didn't one of the announcers say Wade came to Gainesville to recruit him and they had to clear a gaggle of Turkeys off the airport runway or something? Or was I too drunk to know what I was listening to at that point and I am just a Turkey??

Jordan would have been a perfect fit for White. Kareem would have been either camped out on the baseline waiting for scraps from Appleby, or he would have been outside shooting 3’s.
As I recall, Norm Sloan recruited Carter, but someone was doing a major negative recruiting job against UF and Norm couldn't pull in the big names. Never uncovered the source of the bashing. Also as I recall, Vernon Maxwell was highly sought after, but was thought to be a non-qualifier. Sloan was the first to learn he was going to qualify on got in on him before the others and Maxwell committed. That might have been Vernon Delancy (you can't stop VD as we used to say), I dunno, long time ago, but one of them.
